Remove Carrier Spawns in Pacific. Add a minimum timer

This should’ve been implemented even before the merge.

Due to the campaign-style nature before the merge, all planes in the Pacific were carrier-based and required a comparatively slow takeoff before becoming useful, and thus, did not require the usual 60 second spawn timer on match start.

However due to the tech tree and BR changes, planes that did not or could not launch from a carrier were instead given an air spawn, without having a minimum spawn timer at the start of the match.

Consequently, planes with heavy loadouts with an air spawn can immediately obliterate the first wave of soldiers approaching the objective by immediately spawning in, and then bombarding the enemy team at their highest troop concentration at the start of a match.

This issue was prevalent in the other campaigns before it was addressed by the devs prior to adding the spawn timer. Something the Japanese faction has to put up with for about 2 years now, which was a non-issue for other campaigns for over 3 years.

Most likely the worst solution possible, no thanks.

Carrier spawns should stay and they should kept early spawn advantage.

But for planes that spawn in the air, there should be a 90 second cooldown at the start of the battle like in all other campaigns. (Because that’s the real issue and toxicity. And there’s reason why this cooldown already exists)

I am not a fan of carrier takeoffs because it adds more time to get to the battlefront vs air spawned planes. However, if DF would calculate the time it takes to start the engine, taxi down the carrier and taking off and add that time to the airborne starting planes, I would be fine with it.

Just give every plane an air spawn and add the minimum match timer. That’s what the suggestion is.

Time spent doing prep work in a plane is time not spent being useful to the team.

Just like what is said above
Just need to add the function that the high altitude resurrection point in the Pacific Ocean cannot be used at the beginning of the game

no,I already explained alternative options for make ir be viable

Air spawn
Altitude: 1000 m
Speed: up to 450 km/h TAS ( depending on the the plane )
Distance to battle area: approximately 3000 m

Carrier spawn
Altitude: 20 m
Speed: always 0 km/h TAS
Distance to battle area: approximately 3000 m

I think air spawn is also unfair throughout the match not just the beginning. Up to BR III there are no Japanese aircrafts with an air spawn.

Assuming 2 people spawn a fighter or an attacker within the same BR and at the same time, but only one player get to have the air spawn, the player with the air spawn have a much better advantage. The air spawn will give them more speed and more potential energy right from the moment they spawn in.

Low BR planes have slow acceleration, to get to the same speed and altitude as the air spawn would take more than 2 minutes.

So carrier take off should be removed and the Navy plane on both the USN and the IJN should spawn above the carrier with an already accumulated speed. Maybe spawn it up to 100 m above the carrier, a player that may not be familiar with the history of the plane will know that it’s a Navy plane and can be landed and repaired on the carrier.

Being able to repair should remain exclusive to the Navy planes at the time being, the tradeoff for being able the repair the plane is that you spawn at a lower altitude and take off from the carrier after being repaired.

Change this to 5000m (distance between spawn and objective should be much greater than is distance between resupply point and objective anyway, to make one ride kamikaze planes not efficient).

Keep this.

It seems to me that some people just don’t know how to take off from Carrier and that’s why they push the complete removal of this absolutely awesome feature.

Pretty much this, word for word.

I love carrier planes. They provide safety for smart pilots to ward off revenge pilot spawns, AND repairs, if you’re good enough to land on them.

I saved the same Zero about 5 times once in a match. One time I was even on fire.

It’s a good mechanic and I wish other maps would have air fields working in a similar fashion.

Yeah if they introduce airfields and all planes start to the ground will be the best solution

Imo taking off is a gimmick anyway, I prefer having the extra altitude. Maybe add it as an option? E.g. if you spawn within the first 1 min 20 you have to spawn on the carrier, but after that you can select one.

Another concept is to add an airfield and a different ammunition refueling area for each one.

I’d like to see them keep carrier spawns, but also add airfields into each map to for every plane to spawn/repair at.

All planes should air spawn at the start, and should only carrier spawn if they land for repairs.

Most carrier-based planes cannot counter even the low-flying bomber raids if they spawn as the bomber raid is announced. They have to be in the air before the bombing raid is called.
