In my opinion this should have happened long time ago, vehicles like american AA halftrack were annoying in these BR1-3 or low level battles back then and still are, especially in pacific where battles still dont provide sufficient amount of airplane targets in a first place and this AA vehicles are used mainly against ground targets ,
Provide both armies with respective personnel carriers with MG instead of AA gun, both Ta-Se and AA halftrack should go higher in BR
They are super vulnerable to AT rifles that are the weakest infantry AT weapon.
Just fix the damage model so the gunner is easier to kill and everything is good.
that depends on what player you come across
i really dont have any incentive to play with low end japanese tanks like Ha-Go just to be ended by grey zoned general purpose free to play AA halftrack
to substitute AA for MG APC sounds like very good idea imo
Play a heavier tank than the open topped AA tank? Japan has more than one tank. However, I would like to see the M3 GMC get added. Could be the first BR I/II TD added to Enlisted
What if i just dont want to play heavier tank ? What if i just wish to play the most used infantry support tank of japanese forces like Ha-Go ? Besides ha-go is not even open top but has armor so thin that AA gun will pierce it like cheese and it was not like every american halftrack in pacific carried large AA gun on its back, its stil ridiculous seeing this thing in such high numbers with no regular M13 GMC on battlefield
I see no reason to move them because every explosive short of the hand grenade can easily take them out. Those things are paper and infantry has zero problem taking them out. Sure there is a issue when they can squad wipe you but that’s only if they see you.
Sounds like the issue is lack of flanking, I’m not criticizing capabilities of the player but it sounds like you haven’t tried the solution to all vehicles in this game. These vehicles are incredibly easy to take out so easy you can almost sneeze on them to blow them away. They’re an open top/back so even if you can’t sneak up on them for explosives you can just shoot the crew out which will cause the vehicle to explode.
in last week ive encountered games where players were quite active with pinging each vehicle location it was quite a challenge to be undetected … sure i can knife them all if they are gray zoned far away right ? … im also trying to say that this AA vehicle is stil not balanced to weak japanese tanks
That’s why you can take the open top vehicles and shoot the crew out, in the event that this is not possible because the vehicle is closed top that is where anti-tank weaponry comes in. There’s a fair number of options available, anti-tank rifles, engineer built AT guns, rocket artillery ( For those who did the event, because the squads can change their BR weapon) It’s not an issue of the position of these vehicles It’s an issue with popularity. I’ve seen a fair number of matches where that’s the only vehicle deployed on the American side, But I’ve also seen that exact opposite where the enemy uses that and other vehicles in BR1 sometimes they would rather use the M5A1 or a BR2 tank. If you run into the same position repeatedly they’re going to expect it, That’s why I said flanking is key. You don’t need a knife That’s not going to help you with gray zones and that’s where anti-tank weaponry comes in. If anything I think this symbolizes that we need a slight adjustment to map flow.
they should not be terrible and nerfed , but they should not be available on BR 1-3 battles since there is already lack of airplanes at least from my experience which i admit i play only few days now after long time… only thing these AA vehicles does is to harass tanks with very thin armor while desperately trying to evade enemy infantry and their molotovs
Ow, right in the American nomenclature. The M13 “GMC” or MGMC as it’s properly called IS the M3 Halftrack with the dual .50’s mounted in the bed. The M3 GMC is the M3 Halftrack with the modified french 75mm field cannon. The M3 Halftrack can be plain unarmed, have a center of the bed pintle .50, a turret ringed passenger side .50, bed wall mounted M1919’s (likely M1919A4’s), dual .50’s in the bed, quad .50’s in the bed, and some other fun stuff that’s less talked about. A Xylophone for Low Tier would be dope
