The issue of desertion in matches cannot be fixed with point deductions or even much harsher draconian punishments so I have an idea. What about we actually get a checkbox option for players similar to join any team option to queue for a match that’s already ongoing replacing deserters with actual players instead of bots. Something like a 2nd echelon or so on that would make battles much more unpredictable where someone may join mid point with much better equipment surprising the enemy.
2nd and so on echelon players should get an xp boost that can be stacked with a booster to compensate on not playing from the very beginning.
Both teams may benefit for having actual reinforcements instead of bots like those who are from the beginning like me which I prefer over joining late would love some actual reinforcements that may turn the tables like an extra hand with decent or even good equipment to help. This is something closest I could think of from FPS games that use dedicated servers getting some elements from it.
Yeah so it’ll put you in at the second to last cap which is already 75% capped and the enemy still has 800 tickets, i wonder if there’s a reason darkflow ignores a lot of people
You can do that, but they’d only quit even more readily than those that quit before them. Because they’d have even fewer reasons to stay.
The actual solution to quitters would have to be a comprehensive one, but it doesn’t look like developers agree it’s an issue to begin with. Just plug everything with some more bots as if it they are freely interchangeable with players.
I’m sure there are a few cases where they do but for the most part they totally ignore the playerbase. Prime example is when they increased the shellshock significantly. No one asked for it and a large portion of people were asking for less. Also, matchmaking.
I’d be good with this, but we need to ensure that the total player balance is kept and it doesn’t take a team and add 6 additional players when only say 3 have left.
I’ve been on the side of things where its a 1v1 and its going really well and suddenly after the first push the game puts 6 people on the opposing side.
Otherwise yeah, would definately be a challange dropping into a hot LZ for extra XP.
