Regarding the implementation of Britain and Italy as separate factions

While I understand some people may be concerned that Britain may be relegated to just Tunisia and Normandy, and Italy Tunisia, this can be far from the case!

For instance, Italy sent well over 300,000 soldiers to fight alongside Germany against Russia, and so could appear on Eastern Front maps (notably Stalingrad and Moscow).

Also they could add Italian maps such as Siciliy and Rome, which would obviously feature them.

For the British, obviously they will be there for Normandy and Tunisia, but they could also appear if they add Battle of the Bulge maps as well as Italian maps.
Also, Britain should also be present on Pacific maps for more variety due to the presence of New Zealand and Australian troops! (and they could add Burma maps to reinforce this)

If this is not enough, they could also implement multi-faction battles. E.g players searching for a game as Britain or America will be paired together on the same team against the Germans and Italians. (like how Tunisia currently works). Or you can have America and Britain (Australia/New Zealand) on the same time fighting the Japanese.

Another example could be players searching for a game as Italy or Germany will be paired on the same team to fight the soviets.

Food for thought???

They could also expand the North African campaign by adding in other battles from operation torch and the desert war, even Crete would be fun to see. There’s still a lot of potential in that campaign

They could add every battle in ww2 with the new system. Well probably see many more campaigns with mixed nations

Based on the fact that they will initially be combined, I think we can just expect that in the future when they are split off into their own trees they will just be available alongside their allied faction.

If Japan can be seperate faction, Italy and Britain should be as well.

Its not really campaign but rather new maps and guns.

They will be in the future imo. That fox dev guy said something about it.

I would imagine this would be something Darkflow will introduce in the future.
It makes sense to add these factions into the game with their own unique campaigns and weapon sets along with their associated maps.

However, in already established maps like Stalingrad they should only have their own weapon and vehicle trees given their more supporting role in that battle rather than being the primary belligerents.
Give it time, they’ll come.

I sure do hope to see Italian maps in the future (Anzio, Cassino, Gothic line etc.)

But in order for Italians to join the eastern front campaign, they need to be fleshed out first. At the very least, they need a winter uniform option.

I would love to see Crete actually! As well as Egypt / Al Alamein

Agreed 100%, having factions paired together is a must if they were both involved in that theater. Germany for sure did not fight alone in the Eastern Front.

Having joint factions in a battle is one of the reasons why I love the Tunisia campaign. I really do hope they will add more ANZAC forces for both Pacific and European theaters. This feature would open up so much more campaigns/battles in the future such as the New Guinea Campaign and Operation Husky.
