Not to beat a dead horse, but- The recent semi-auto changes have been a heavy blow to Axis players.
The G41 is, frankly, one of the, if not the worst semi-auto rifle in the game. Hardly comparable to SVT rifles. Something at least alleviated by ZH-29s, where they’d at least reach some form of parity- Though it requires you to unlock them at a later level.
Select-fire automatic rifles have not been included with the nerf, so AVS-36 rifles, unlocked at the same level as ZH-29s, have an even larger advantage than before.
Unlike other campaigns where either side has access to select-fire automatic rifles at the same time, that isn’t the case with Moscow, where the AVS rifle is present, so not only is there no equivalent weapon, but whatever advantage ZH rifles offered over G41s have became even moot.
The only thing keeping this campaign from becoming an Axis Tunisia experience is a more competent selection of vehicles- Something that will also soon erode with the intended introduction of T-28E tanks, with no clear response on whether or not the F1 variant gets HEAT.
Moscow is my most-played campaign for both factions. It becoming even less balanced is something of a travesty.
I believe we have to beat a dead horse and even then the developers wont listen. This is becoming a constant issue with the game nerfing things no one even brought up such as rally points, dispersion, sights shaking more with recoil and semi autos yet ignoring things numerous people post about daily. They create new issues with ill prepared nerfs. I, for one, am getting very tired of it
ZH-29 has 20 round variant, just give them this. And AVS can reduce semi-auto rof to 240. AVS36 in auto mode is shite. Empty a whole mag and miss the Klaus at 10m.
The Moscow campaign is also my main campaign, and I can say that even the existing some premium squads are disappointing. (10 soldiers with nerfed semi autos, engineers with bolt actions, ect). In other words, I have a problem currently properly arming my engineers. So far, that’s the main problem for me.
However, on the other hand, Germany is strong in the Moscow campaign, namely on the side of automatic weapons. I am currently constructing my offensive tactics in this very area.
Same… I still love all bolt actions so I’m fine on that part, but I’m slowly replacing my squads for sniper squads with, you know it, mkb42h. I just have 1 engy guy with bolt action in each of them.
And you know what? It’s not even fun… but you need something in cqb vs ppsh, eh.
The recoil of DinnerPlate27 is really hard, CQC is useless unless you have a jump on them. ADS can miss in 10m. When setting up bipod, it is decent but cannot be as versatile as MG34. M38 after buff can closer the gap to ppsh. You can bring it to the middle or longer range now. In the end, both are marginal.
MG13 is definitely better than Madsen. but STV is better than G41.
I wouldnt exactly call Mg34 recoil as easy either.
Statswise Mg34 has 15 vertical recoil and DP27 has 41. No idea how these values are supposed to work but if the Mg34 has fairly bad recoil with VR 15 value the DP27 should be aiming at airplanes after first round which definitely aint the case. Regardless we give the controllability to Mg34 as ive got no intrest to make any ingame comparisons between them.
After the nerf every lmg is rather crappy at cqc, so considering they aint lazorbeams the rof matters quite much, this is where Mg34 is definitely better compared to DP27 having 270 more rof at lvl6.
But considering what arnaments these guns face, the Mg34 has less rof at lvl6 than any of the soviet smg’s, while DP27 actually has slightly more or slightly less than german smg’s.
So if the DP27 & Mg34 collide CQC Mg34 has statswise better chances due to higher rof.
If the DP27 comes against german SMG’s it has better chances than Mg34 against soviet smg’s.
I always wonder what is this mid-long range 200-300m ? Where you would have to hit atleast 4times disregarding rng to get a kill as the soviet smg’s are more than capable to hold theyr own at any sensible range.

Since the semi nerf havent tried anything except g41 which is shit. No idea how badly it fucked up svt.
