I put my suggest on my title loud and clear so that some contrarian will not say foolish words.
Just return the gunfire smoke back to before, forget the failure change, and that’s my suggestion.
Here are my points.
Enlisted, at least, is a FPS game, along with some vehicle and aircrafts right? So the players who mainly play firearms should be concerned. I think the game is WWII background but so far, the smoke after gunfire brings me back to the American Civil War and the time of black powder. The smoke has been far beyond the ‘real’ or ‘hardcore’, but a terrible setting that restricts player’s performance, because they cannot aim after firing, both for infantry or tankers.
I suggest that the smoke should be reduced, at least make sure that smoke not to block the sight. There is an example, M2 Carbine used to be a unpleasant weapon because of the recoil and the flame of gunfire. And it has been improved.
In fact, players enjoy continuous killing with their guns. And tankers also need to keep an eye on the target. But with the big and thick smoke after gunfire, you can see nothing. But for enemy snipers and tankers, they can see you clear and kill you in the dead seconds. None of my teammates think it is a good improvement.
Therefore, I really hope that the devs could improve the gameplay of most players, who still take Enlisted as a FPS, not War Thunder. Sometimes being unique does not necessarily mean you have succeeded, you may have taken the wrong path. Listen to experienced and well-played gameplayers’ idea and leave out those have little understanding of game. They may say ‘smoke is fantastic’ but it really hurts most players.
I like it as a balancing measure. You can still work around it, but it makes it a little bit more difficult to just full auto burst your way through entire squads.
They can’t even fix the AA guns right now So What makes you think that they can even bother to fix this We’re being rocket spam bomb spam into oblivion by these Ace pilots and we can’t stop them unless you have an Ace of our own.
And the only thing that nerf did to AA guns was make it so Ace pilots can even have more fun and not even have to worry about the ground pounders Even though some pilots already knew how to dodge it before the nerve
Of course not. Maybe you need more?matches to find the problem. For MG and some SMG things are terrible.
BTW, you should try high calibri guns like AT gun, HMGs and Tank guns. Smoke is really unpleasant and obvious.
Man, I’m not a camper. But when you suppress with automatic weapons, it is hard to trace the target and suppress.
Balance for who? For those who don’t wanna improve their shooting skill and reading the game? Come on, they still complian even there have been many ‘balance’
Let’s talk about the f**king animation ‘balance’. In most of games, there is no such disgusting things that man put down their gun even there is only small obstacles on the ground. This have given the players with no skill a chance to kill pro players. And bolt action rifles, kill one from over 100 meters. Even beginners could do many kills.
So what’s the next ‘balance’ for those babies who always cry but never grow up?
If this is fair for beginners, it is not fair for we who have spent 40-50days in the game.
Its funny…Ive barely noticed any smoke while playing lol. I actually think some of the muzzle blasts should be much more pronounced (not smoke so much as flash)
I can say from experience firing off a 303 and 7.62 in a low light can be pretty spectacular.
