As shown in the figure below, the level of these two Japanese bolt action rifle activity teams is level two, but their strength is not suitable for staying at level two. The infantry team only has infantry and does not have functional units such as engineering; The paratrooper squad is even more inappropriate. Soviet paratroopers can use submachine guns at level one, while Japanese paratroopers can only use bolt action rifles at level two, which is clearly inappropriate. So the level of these two teams should be adjusted to one.

The paratroopers are fine, because there’s no paratrooper squad at BR 1. Their rifle is decent.
Soviet PPD 34 doesn’t exist then.
55 RoF on Type 100 is pitiful.
52 RoF on Type 99 long is abyssmal.
There’s only one decent rifle in entire IJA arsenal - Type 38, still questionable outside BR 1 due to long reload, low capacity and high recoil. Everything else is trash, all the way untill Auto-Hei.
Type 99 early variants need to get RoF similar to Type 38.

They’ve said paratroopers at BR1 (Soviets) were unintended. I imagine they’ll just attach the plane that they arrive in to the squad and assign a BR to that so no matter what shenanigans players get up to the BR can’t go lower than the vehicle BR. Kind of like the motorcycle squads being stuck at BR2 even though they should obviously be BR1.
I would love to see the Long 99 with the flag in BR1 though.

Yep. BR II is truly the right place for them. I really hope we get to see a BR V paratrooper squad for Japan in an upcoming event. They are really missing out on this point.
We could definitely use another Japanese paratrooper event, in all honesty I think the perfect time to do a event for them would be when they get the Soviet vs Japan content. That way they can do a paratrooper event for both seeing as they’re the only two factions that have one premium squad and one event squad.
As for lowering the BR of these weapons I think they’re fine as is they just need to be buffed. All of Japan’s rifles including the type 38 are complete trash outside of the Type hei automatic. I think majority of their rifles should have at least 50 fire rate before upgrades not after, They only have one bolt action capable of hitting around 60 after upgrading if memory serves. While all the other factions have at least 2 or 3.
Don’t even get me started on their reload speed… 4 seconds for 5 rounds…?
The Japanese really got shafted on bolt actions.
