I know they’ve already been nerfed, take longer to take off from the plane, longer time bots to land, easily get shot down mid-air. But considering they can land on any roof given often time no one can reach them, successfully landing gives many huge advantages: better sniping/flanking positions, 2x amount of weapon’s ammunition from a crate in split seconds, various classes to change offer versatility, additional items you get from a class chosen; AP mines for Sniper, AT mines for AT, medkits for Assault, surprise rally points from an unexpected direction if players pick Mortar class.
- 1/11 Panzerfaust ammo vs 1/5 for AT Gunner. Why they can carry more than the class that is supposed to do their job?
- Sniper rifles with 5/45 bolt, 10/90 semi. Landed on some good roof, they can snipe all day.
- LMG with 100/300 bullets. Land, grab a crate and go brrrr.
- Some Paratroopers like BR I Premium German BerettaM38 squad doesn’t have BR II LMG, so they’ll use BR III MG34 in BR I room, great…
It’s overall too much IMO, I’m suggesting:
- Paratroopers should take time to load their gear from a crate like a circle countdown when a tank reloading ammo or such, X seconds difference depending on the class you chose. It’s 3 Paratroopers that got the crate weapons and all men get additional items, you can’t just pick it up and the rest instantly geared up mid-air.
- Same amount of AT weapons ammunition as AT gunners carry.
- No large ammo pouches on picked weapons, at least small ammo pouches would still be fine.
