Reduce dispersion to make ALL weapons skill-based

I liked the BA buff because BA rifles were a very skill based weapon. They had low dispersion, so if you missed it was your fault, and if you hit them you had good aim. This good aim is now rewarded with the high damage of BA rifles. However, the following is a list of weapons that do NOT reward good aim:
LMGs other than Bren Gun
FG 42s
SVT-40 and SVT-38
G43 and G41
Why don’t they reward good aim? It’s because they have dispersion. Even if you aim well, the bullet will make a 45-degree turn, or seemingly noclip into the Backrooms at point blank(often the case with the SVT.) It’s glaringly obvious with the FG 42 which has the accuracy of a smoothbore flintlock gun.
However, reducing dispersion and replacing it with a drawback that the player can use skill to mitigate, such as recoil, would make these weapons reward greater skill. If I miss with a BA, it’s a skill issue. If I miss with an FG 42, it could be a skill issue or it could be bad luck, who knows? But reducing dispersion, combined with the increased recoil of automatics, will reward firing in short bursts, mounting in a strategic position, and aiming carefully while mixing full auto and single shots according to the situation.

every thing about the weapons i feel is in a good place for game play balancing reason’s, other then the recoil and/or recoil-visual on some weapons

More or less 10% of my shots miss the target by a mile. And it’s even worse in full auto (I fired one by one).
A very acurate, bipoded LMG that could fire to up to 1km in certain situations shouldn’t behave like this.

There used to be low dispersion on all guns.

M3 was actually useful as semiauto carbine back then. I miss those times.

Yep. Perfectly aimed at less than 100 meters and bullets can literally curve off the target at angles that are completely impossible in this game

The bullet flies out like you have a barrel at an angle of 10 degrees.

Those were wonderful times.

The first bullet you shot should always be very accurate.

And last time I check with my MG it was already the case. That why I always did small burst of 3 bullets.
But maybe it has change since then.

Darn manufacturers always leaving barrels loose.

I’d prefer less dispersion, even if more recoil might be necessary for balance. There shouldn’t be laser-beam accuracy when hip firing, but I do agree that bullets shouldn’t spray all over the place like Call of Duty or Battlefield.

You can only dream it since the good old times never come back

MG-13 and Lewis I can confirm as having horrible shot spread even when proned and bipoded
Wtf is the point of MGs if they aren’t at least accurate when mounted

Invasion of Normandy. I get the whole high recoil of the MG34, MG42, FG42 etc but honestly they were just simply horrendous in dispersion even with bipod slapped down. I don’t mean to make them laser-burst but the dispersion of their shots doesn’t rewards aiming correctly. You’re essentially screwed with using them even if you have Ungodly reaction time and aim skill, because the bullets doesn’t go straight. Even with max star upgrades that reduces bullet dispersions, they are still horrendously bad.

But, yeah. I don’t think devs will do anything about it. We all know how Dark Flow is like.

Community : “Dark flow please fix MG bunny hops, reduce dispersion and fix AI aimbot”

Darkflow : “Okay here’s M1 Abram and F-35 in Invasion of Normandy Level 1 and oh for level 40 Axis you guys will get a pre-war kar98k sounds good mkay we’re the best dev ever totally listen to community hell yeah best ww2 game self pat self high five”

Because of course dispersion affects ONLY, SPECIFICALLY high level German guns, it’s not like it affects most MGs and automatic weapons across the board.

Germany Suffers™ at its finest.

I’m talking Normandy wise because that’s probably the only campaign I really play these days, but if you really insist. Madsen dispersion bloody sucks. Bren dispersion bloody sucks. Breda? Don’t even mention that name you heretic. DP-28 dispersion moderate, BAR (variants) and Colt Monitor is pretty moderate, MG-13 dispersion bloody sucks too, and M1919? Dispersion is also meh but generally broken, but the only reason it’s tolerated is because it’s one of the very few good ground troops weapons the Allies could have against MP/43 and all that stuffs.

Yeah, ALL dispersion sucks.

And yes, Germany Suffers…tm
