I awaited this new map since Stalingrad first released. It was too iconic to miss.
Certainly Enlisted is extremely more arcadeish than RO1 & 2ā¦ but itās not a bad thing.
Itās different.
I will certainly hang in Stalingrad a lot in the next weeks.
And as the op @Bigote0070 reminded me, since I own RO 1 & 2, I can play their respective soundtracks in the background

Say have you tried Hell Let Loose?
At first I wasnāt attracted too much as it only depicted the Western front, and Iāve played that over and over again in multiple games.
But now thereās the Eastern front. THAT Iām very attracted to. How is it? Itās more Red Orchestra esque than Enlisted is, Iām tempted to try.
I havenāt played RO but Iād say that RO was/is a middleground between HLL and enlisted. HLL doesnāt have dense action (20 kills as infantryman is a good match, at least for me/noob), but it has MUCH better atmosphere than enlisted.
Your experience is mostly determined by your squad mates, itās hit or miss. With good squad itās really nice. With bad squad, it can turn into a walking sim (yes, itās team dependant).
Preferably get yourself at least one friend to play with, so you can shit your pants together when the bombing run arrives. Actually bombing run is a good example of the difference in atmosphere. In enlisted - itās annoying. In HLL - you discover that you can fluently pray in latin.

i tried HLL
isnāt definitly a Red orchestra 3, the movement its worst than enlisted, Toxic Comunnity (you only can go rifleman in a separated squad if you want play alone), as a R02 veteran, i can find enlisted more Close to RO2 than HLL (so R02 was an Hardcore Arcady)

Just need the voice acting like RO2 and we get the complete RO2 feel.
So was Rising Storm 2 with the M16 spam that doesnāt make the feel the same as RO2 despite AKM is my favorite in RS2. I understand how it feels to find a successor for RO2 for years which Enlisted is the closest thing we have right now without depending on communication too much.

Itās true RO2 was arcadeish a lil bitā¦ Probably why I preferred RO1. Oh my, that was difficult. Even when reloading a stripper clip, the animation showed your soldier had trouble getting all bullets in, struggling. Movement had a LOT more inertia than RO2, aiming required TIME (snapshots were simply put, impossible)ā¦
Mmmh. Now that I think of it, what looks more like RO2 is the lone wolf mode, now in custom matches.
RO1 was merelyā¦ an hardcore version of RO2 (with more dated graphics). There was more tanks, thought. Driving the ISU152 was not just a joy it was plain hilarious.

So youāre judging the whole game from the perspective of one match?
TK happen all the time, thatās how the game is designed. I often TK and get TKed at least once per match.
As for lack of communication, you were simply unlucky to have a shit squad. It happens and nothing can be done there. Your experience is mostly determined by your squad so finding a good one is a priority.
I prefer to play games alone, not many people speak my language in HLL, and i dont want speak english all the time

Then those āshit squadsā are perfect for you as they are silent for the whole match. Sometimes I also play with them when I donāt want to socialise.
The only problem is that your fav soldier role may be locked but well, thatās multiplayer games for you.
