Rebalancing mkb 42 h and fedorov

That’s extremely weird argument in balance discussion. Especially if you are talking about equipment that has significantly higher/lower power level.

If you are not for fair equipment balance, I would argue it would be way better to just create seperate mode with equipment based on year of deployment.

Yeah, I do apologize. I’ll create new topic once I’ll get to home. Sorry for derailing.

Well, the balance argument should be justified by having both sides have the same amount of +1BR and -1BR.

Still without a doubt everyone having the same BR gear is a simpler balance solution.

Still I personally don’t mind ±1 BR too much, if at least that would be the case, in reality thanks to BR3 we have only 2 Queues.

Yes to get back to the topic, I think we again need to determine what types of performances even matter when talking about powerlevels of weapons.

If you consider only pure dps potential, then the STG would outperform the MKB simply by firerate alone, but one could bring in the argument that both weapons have equal killing potential per magazine - which wouldn’t really be a serious argument since these weapons reload rather quickly - however this argument can make a huge difference with low capacity weapons like semi auto rifles.

My point is that weapon balance is not always so straight forward and even though many weapons up for discussion are full auto guns - they might perform on the first look similar, yet they often fit different roles.

PPSH can wipe squads very fast, FG42 can insta kill other players very fast but runs out of ammo quickly.

One is an easy to control close quarters gun, the other is great at close and medium ranges.

There are multiple factors that neeed to be considered.

I would argue that for each class of weapon in each BR, there should be competitor weapons that perform respectively in their own BR, but fill different roles.

I like the example of the VG and the G41 being in the same BR. Both are rather poor semi autos, however they seem to be equally bad even though they play completely different.
