well you know that after the guerrillas i think that the spawn camping will be a massive problem so i my suggestion is the following
Spawn zone instead of Spawn points.
In the actual Game we always Spawn in specific points marked as the default Spawns so My suggestion consist in delete the default Spawn points and reemplace them for a Spawn zone
How it works?
The Main difference is that you won’t Spawn in a specific point and You Will have the opportunity to select where You want to Spawn (basically like the paratroopers selecting where they are going to jump)
This allows You to be less predicteable and make the task harder for the new class to eliminate your team
If You ask, this same features is not able for tanks or any other vehicles because their spawn point is Even far away and the guerrillas don’t have AT guns capable of killing You
And no… The rallies Will keep as they actually are they are just OP and nothing Will change it
Well with this i end the Main suggestion and here we have other countermesures that could work ( not all of them should be implemented)
-Guerrillas can’t use rally points
Well they are not like a formal army You know? I think that they shouldn’t br able to use them
-Guerrillas weapons nerfed:
Damm if You ask me most of guerrillas used bolties instead of smg so limiting the loadout to only bolties and pistols could work
-spawn protection is longer
When You spawned You Will have a longer protection that allow You to shoot the enemies coming without being worried of your HP or your bots
I dont think partisans will make that much of an impact tbh,
as for nerfs:
Keep them on Rallies
I think they should just be like a 4 man Rifle squad, maybe a choice between a Radio Op, AT gunner or Assaulter and then 3 riflemen.
I think 5 seconds is enough for now, allow it to be toyed with depending how much of an issue it becomes, though frankly I really dont see it being much of an issue
The bigger issue at hand I think is the lack of rallies being built and how this class will make the 1 or 2 that normally are built basically an extinct species now. I think the best counter to them if they prove to be OP is giving a large score reward for building a rally, and then just limit that to a once per 3-5minute reward to stop it being abused then. That or having it so rebuilding the rally in the same sector wouldnt give anything except the current building reward.
As for the spawn zone, Id adore a total war style spawn zone, but I doubt we will ever get that, and it would take a bit of effort to balance to make sure its not used to abuse map features.
I’m pretty sure euthy said they spawn on normal spawn point which means they won’t just pop up in gray zone they actually have to run around and get to enemy grey zone don’t know how this will go tho
Spawn area is the key. You can’t be spawn camped if the enemy doesn’t know where you’ll spawn.
Introducing a whole new class to fix a broken game mechanic blows my mind. There are far more simple fixes, even without drastically changing the current mechanics, such as spawn areas.
Don’t get me wrong, the new guerrilla class sounds dope. But as others have pointed out: it will increase spawn camping unless something else is done to stop that. I truly believe that something is spawn areas instead of spawn points.
I also think that by eliminating spawn points and allowing players to spawn in a general area it would encourage flanking and make the attack/defense scenarios presented in many of the game modes a bit more, and I use this word very liberally, “realistic” in that attacking forces (or reinforcements for defending forces) don’t approached battlefield by having all troops plant their feet at a specificific predetermined location before proceeding to the mission.
