I truly hope for a theatre of war, a single battle is truly to small
yes it is better already the possible maps Guadalcanal and iwo jima and other places in the pacific
to see i think it’s not only this map for pacific
M5 Stuart shouldn’t be here just FYI
this is the Stuart m3a1 planned for the campaign
Thank you very much to answer it!
LMG
Japanese can use multiple LMGs. I believe will be enough for game.
11th Year Type LMG
Type 91 Vehicle LMG (tank’s machine gun, It can equip bipod)
Type 96 LMG
Type 99 LMG
Type 97 Vehicle HMG (tank’s machine gun. It can eqiup bipod)
Type 92 7.7mm MG (Navy’s license production model of Lewis gun used by NLF. Tripod.)
ZB 26 (Japanese adopted and mass-produced at captured Chinese arsenal)
Bomber
Torpedo bombers can equip anti-ground bombs. For example, B5N2 can equip 6x60kg, 2x250kg or 1x800kg. Two 250kg option would be great for game.
Also, there were IJN’s seaplane base for F1M and H6K. (Captured during operation Watchtower). Especially, H6K can equip 2x500kg bombs.
Sniper Rifle
They had four mass-production model of sniper rifles.
Type 38 Modified Sniper Rifle — converted Type 38 rifle
Type 97 Sniper Rifle — sniper model of Type 38 rifle
Type 99 Sniper Rifle — sniper model of Type 99 rifle
Type 99 Short Sniper Rifle — sniper model of Type 99 short rifle
Among them, Type 99 rifle is not much mass-produced, and sniper variant is same so short model is popular.
Also, late variants of Experimental Automatic Rifles had sniper mount on side of the rifle.
Automatic C96
At least, Chinese used automatic C96 with stock (7.63mm) as substitute of SMG, so there is a possibility that Japanese captured and used it.
Another possibility is officer’s personal pistol. In the Japanese army, officers chose and purchased their own pistols. Because of it, IJA had hundreds of types of pistols so maybe someone had automatic C96. (but popular pistol is small one like Browning M1910)
Type 45mm
Thank you, I understand!
Japanese name of this weapon is 試製五式四十五粍簡易無反動砲 / Experimental Type 5, 45 mm Simple Recoilless Gun.
45mm Type 5 was never sent to battlefield, but Navy’s 8cm rocket launcher was used during the Battle of Leyte gulf in 1944 so it would be interesting addition too.
What in the world is that???
Looks like a battle mech weapon!
I hope it will be added in the next campaign, eheheh
Yeah, shape is very interesting and it can pen 70-80mm armor so I want to see it in game too!
According to official war history of Japan, IJN forces landed with 20x this rocket launchers and several amphibious tanks at Ormoc bay.
70mm
45mm
81mm
10.5cm (uses by german but wiki say even jap use it anyway to big is a no)
That springfield sniper should have the Unertl 8x scope, dunno if that’s just gonna be a different gun or the 03A1 from normandy.
I’d ditch the british equipment, and the enfield 1917 wouldn’t have been in service by guadalcanal with the Army freeing up springfields. Sling the Johnson LMG in there too. Reising vairants instead of sten/ lanchester. There’s no such thing afaik as a 1903A6 Rifle. USMC should have USMC equipment.
As for the japanese, captured gear might be okay, and better than trying to put the experimental/prototype japanese copies of the Garand and Pedersen in there.
USMC cant have USMC equipment because darkflow need inflate the campaign with grind expecially in low level, in this case commowealth equipment and european equipment as they do with german in all campaigns
Japanese experimental are 100% sure listed for be premium gold
The list is based on how the other campaigns are, so is 100% darkflow realistic
You forgot the best of all:
As with a different comment much further up, I am wondering why you went with an early Corsair instead of P-40E?
Everyone else has pointed out historical inaccuracies, but here is one everyone missed
The M1 Garand’s grenade launcher was converted for the Carbine in 1944, also making it completely ineligible for Guadalcanal. A few other notes.
A few other notes:
The Americans barely used Shermans during the fighting in Guadalcanal, but they did use M2A4s there, as well as M3s, M3A1s and M5s there, so stuart spam here we go.
As others have said, the Marines basically only used Corsairs as Guadalcanal was closing up, and only the USMC variant of the F4U-A1 which has no payload whatsoever. Instead, the US planes should be more along the lines of P-400, P-40E, P-39, F4F-4 and P-38Gs
Why would you use the A-20 in the Pacific when you have the TBF Avenger with the exact same payload.
Chinese Zh-29s mostly were in the northern regions, meaning it is unlikely that any made it down to Guadalcanal. Instead, the Type Hei Rifle, which was captured on Okinawa, would have a greater chance of being in Guadalcanal, even if only slightly.
You don’t appear to have enough levels to make it to 40 levels. I made my own proposal earlier and while there is a lot more padding, it gets through all the content as well.
Caliber of Experimental Type 4 7cm rocket launcher is 74 mm
At least, experimental 10.5cm recoilless gun (試製十糎半無反動砲) is listed in planned procurement in 1945, but I don’t know it was mass-produced. Anyway it will not a personal-carried gun which is suitable for this game.
As far as I remember they used M3/M3A1 Stuarts, not M5. (but I don’t know well about American)
They also used M3 GMC, a 75mm SPG based upon M3 halftrack. It would be interesting addition. It have deadly 75mm cannon but it is easy to destroy it.
I believe suicide weapon is not suitable for game…
I know everyone self-destruct with explosive pack on enemy tank. However, at least there is a way to use explosive pack without killing myself, but this weapon isn’t.
Everyone already suicide bombs everything with planes or explosive packs, so why not give us a cool looking boom boom stick to suicide ourselves even more?
It because they are not designed for suicide attack. In other hand, this weapon is designed for only suicide attack.
In my opinion, such weapons should not be added in this game.
If you mean the two guy asking for OP tank because sherman top OP for them, i dont think is historical inccurate
The campaign is setted in all the pacific, the code say pacific-guadalcanal on the minimap and pacific
near the equipment
As up
As up again
As up again
As again
Campaign release is 26 level and one map in this case Guadalcanal, i dont need think 40 level and 20 map for this
Well, surely if they contain whole battles of Asia-Pacific war in one campaign, they can make decent progress table.
