One of the more annoying things about the bombers is their usage as mass area denial weapons. Since you know how the bomber formation will arrive, you can plot the attack in a way that covers the entire approach to and area of the cap point.
So what I would ask is that we make the bomber attack a bit less obvious by randomizing the formation in which they arrive.
You should be able to simple plot the central target area, after which bombers will arrive either as:
V - current formation, maximum spread out area effect with a very short bombing run duration.
I - Single line: bombers fly in a spaced out single column and attack the target area, with small bomb dispersion around the target. The smallest area of effect, the plane spacing results in a some seconds between each bomber, making this longest lasting bombing run.
II - double line. Bombers fly in two colums where the pairs are again spaced out, which bomb target area side by side, resulting in medium area of effect and bombing run duration.
This variation would also make it sometimes easier to counter the bombing as you’d be shooting at single or double planes some seconds a part, instead of all at the same time.
Ps. You know what would be even better? You having to shoot a flare on target to guide the bombers in, but i guess that is too much to ask.
