Quick questions ( make team 1 and 2 ally, how to reduce number of bots from one or more teams and add it to another and how can i place vehicles with damage ( for example, no tracks, gun disabled and others for players to fix and repair and use )

greetings modders.

i have two questions.

Question 1,

is it possible to make team 1 and team 2 allies?

or… being able to negate the ability to damage each other?

reason being, as i’m making pves ( which that’s the only reason would make sense my question ) i would like to make my coop actual coops.

sure, i might have the issue that some funny head would play as a german in a mission against the germans or many other unreleastic things,

but that is certainly better than having to straight up lock an entire team for players and prevent them to join just because currently i have to “hard lock” a team in order to allow the other team to play the pve without the risk of players ruining the experience.

as the other problem that i have, due to the absolutely joke that customs are, i have the issue that in order for players to join, they need to fill also the hard locked team in order for the first team to even play.

i’m not kidding.

in order to play pves, i need something like 20 players just for being able to make 10 of them play the actual mission. as the team balancer is a pain in the ass and prevent me from making the team 2 ( for example ) empty while all the players plays on team 1.

Note:

Yes, i could create two separate missions for different factions in one map. but i think anyone smart enough can come up with the conclusion that it is not viable nor really duable as A i have no clue how to do that nor how the editor would respond. like, will it make the team who captures the objective first win? or how will be determined defeat and what not. i don’t think the editor was designed to be used like that., and B the ammount of stuff that i would have to mirrow or somewhat do for even offer somewhat the same experience it’s too much.

let alone the size of the mod it self would become or the tab kill feed being constantly in the way…

Question 2:

is there any option to for example, remove bots from team 1 and team 2 to add them to team 3?

i have tried every possible effing option within the team_faction options, yet despite me putting everything maxed or on 0, bots still divide their numbers equally in various factions.

which it’s less then ideal if i want players to cooperate but have the same ammount of resistance instead of less.

and, after all, it must be a cooperation between players. not a cooperation between Ais AND players against Less AI.

if you know what i mean.

and lastly,

Question 3

is it possible to place tanks and give them damaged parts?

for example, i would like to leave a damaged panzer IV for players to eventually repair and use or make a tank it self an objective but cannot move as it’s damaged. and the players will have to repair it and move it somewhere else.
not worried about the logical part as much as i’m not sure how i can achieve that the vehicle will spawn with damage.

I took a look at the vehicle entity and found this:

I am certain this where the game defines whether the part of the tank model is damaged or not
Sadly it is read-only.

yeah. i did saw that part.

but as you tick them, they tick back to being alive.

didn’t saw any templates either about the matter.

so i was hoping for someone to have stumbled upon it and is willing to share.

but to my ambition or rather, hopeness i’m afraid will remain unaswered just like the ones above…

i don’t wanna sound like a jerk. but in garry’s mod that it’s 7 years old, yet i can do just that with relatively ease and default tools as well. without… having to tweak codes and stuff.
