corrected.
Lol, how? Many 50mm+ cannon doesnât have more than 100mm of penetration, how should it penetrate tiger frontal armor?
Because movies and games are not reality. The fact that the shell did not enter the tank does not mean that the kinetic energy has escaped into space. This energy has to go somewhere, most often in the form of detached pieces of armor inside the vehicle that bounced off the walls, injuring and killing the crew, damaging electrical wiring and plumbing. There were cracks in the armor at the welds, and even the armor cracked in half. And such armor no longer protected.
Isnt that the case already anyway but just because of meta?
You are not forced play meta things, especially since majority of matches are filled with casuals and bots.
Well. You can try MP28s against PPSh and Feds but since neither casuals, âprosâ or vets really do it, it kinda is forced.
Thatâs not true. I donât even see federov on regular basis. Same goes for tanks. I see the first 10 level ones more often than any other.
Lol, that is not considered as penetration. You shouldnât use the word penetrate to describe such effect.
If the bullet penetrated the armor, did it penetrate it or not? In the game, no, but in reality such a hit is considered a penetration because the bullet did not bounce off the target.
What mess is this? You said bullet penetrate the armor, and it is not considered penetrate in game?
definition
Penetration refers to entering or making your way through something.
if the shell didnt penetrate the armor (aka made hole through it), then it didnt penetrate. armor did its primary function. unless army has different dictionary that defines any kind of damage to tank/crew as penetration.
Well, you see, in Polish we have the word âpenetracjaâ which does not mean armor piercing, but it does not mean ricochet either. The word for armor penetration in PL is âprzebicieâ.
For us, these are two different words.
True, but armour penetration is toned down because of the limited distance we have on maps.
If we had realistic penetration than even the 37mm guns could easily destroy T-34s due to the armour shattering just from the sheer velocity of the shell in less than a 100 meters.
Same goes for all other tanks, which isnât ideal since armour would be pointless and only speed and reload speed would matter.
People already complain about greyzone tanks so it wonât be changed either.
My premium just expired and Oh boy, we often forget how much longer it takes to grind a campaign as a f2p casual.
Premium doesnât double but triple the XP good meta player get thanks to battle hero and victory bonus.
Paratroopers deploying into the middle of a raging battlefield, including ontop of rooftops, towers, and innacessible places that regular infantry cannot reach.
Oh, and paratroopers hot-dropping from the sky, right on top/behind the opposing teams armored units. Immediately blowing up the vehicle with an Explosive pack. (Fantasy-land)
Realistic values or at least WT values would semi-solve the issues.
There are so many things that can be mentioned in this respect.
To a large degree they depend on oneâs point of view and frame of reference.
In my opnion it is best to focus first and foremost on what makes Enlisted unique and improve that, in other words to focus on the must-have instead of the should-have or nice-to-have.
For me the overriding factor what sets Enlisted apart from other WW2 FPS online MMO games is the AI squad system.
A fairly unique feature of Enlisted is that the human player is supposed to be the Squad Leader of an AI squad.
For that to be authentic the AI squad needs to become âsmarterâ and âmore humanâ
So the short answer to your question from my point of view is: first and foremost the AI and squad AI.
This is a subject onto itself which is something that cannot be addressed in a few one-liners and which deserves a separate topic.
I have made a separate topic for it here on the forum in order to avoid hijacking your topic:
