T34-85 D-5T have:
Better armor
Better ammo
It’s faster
Faster turrent rotation (like a lot faster)
My question is, where is the balance? This leads only to T34 dominating the streets of Berlin. German players have only option - wait to get Panther (which should be equivalent to T34-85 in my opinion)
It’s laughable, that’s what it is. You have to play three times as hard as the T-34 driver, and hope they’re not as good as you. 
Kind of true, but it is also kind of a difficult choice, as the Panther is IMO significantly more powerful than the early 34-85 in this game, and it would dominate as well.
Probably they should give the Germans some kind of a tank destroyer as the base tier armored vehicle in this campain, e.g. a Stug, a Hetzer or a Jagdpanzer IV, which would be less maneuverable than a tank, but quite well armed & armored. As an alternative, replacing the 34-84 with an earlier 76 mm T-34 could be a good choice - there were still metric tons of these tanks in the Red Army by early 1945.
BTW, slow turret rotation is historical - for some reason, the Germans omitted power drive in the late versions of Pz IV.
T-34 has higher speed and a turret rotation speed that’s 4x faster.
It’s really not hard to stomp on the Panzer IV’s. It’s laughably unbalanced in its current state. If anything, they should’ve given the T-34/76 to the Russians and made the T-34-85 an unlock similar to the Panther G.
Maybe Hetzer or Jagdpanzer IV versus SU-85 would be balanced.
It’s just sloped 45mm that you can pen from any side with the 75
Just has more filler, you can still OHK T-34s just fine though

The only times I’ve had issues with the PzIV J in Berlin were some of the spawns being in direct view of the enemy, past that It’s pretty easy to dab on the T-34s left and right.
There are a couple objects on the upper front plate that need a look because they’ll deflect rounds they have no right to deflect. Turret too if you aren’t looking at the front or flat side. Shooting the back will have your shots getting eaten too. Already mentioned that in the feedback thread as well so I hope they’ll get to it.
From a real historical standpoint, I guess the late war PzIV was comparable to a T34-85,
while a Panther was just straight superior. Dont know how this works in the game tho, anyways… its better than panther vs T34-85 which we had some weeks ago…
Panzer IV J is higher skill than the Panther was, so get ready for a lot of complaining, my dude.
It’s just fine as it is aside from the funky spots like the T-34’s drivers hatch and some black holes on the turret.
T-34-85 is better in everything. PZ.IV is objectively worse tank and require much mor skill and luck. This is NOT balance.
They can both kill eachother just fine. Especially in the corridor like streets you fight in.

Any mobility advantage the T-34 has is gone since you practically fight eachother in hallways.
You can still track them just fine even with the hand crank by traversing the hull like you do with a casemate.
It’s Urban fighting the pz 4 can dab on the t34 with ease. to be honest i have more luck the panzer than the t34 It’s all about positioning and listening for the enemy tank. But since it looks like you just main germans and don’t play allies then just give up at that point i don’t want bad tankers like you on my team.
I play Allies and Axis. I can tell I am pretty good tanker. Every battle I get the Best tanker reward, like every single one. Even with PZ.IV i get that, but when i hop in T-34-85, I am a beast. It’s just soooo much better.
Then you shouldn’t be complaining about the panzer. It’s 1945 the germans are getting split in 5 places at this point and they barely have almost nothing to kill tanks having a pz 4 is a godsend as i said before it’s all about positioning in the panzer learn the maps and use the team for call outs.
I have not a single problem with either tank. And before you try to make yourself feel better by going “w-what are your STATS?!”, keep in mind I play for fun and chill. Easy shit my man.
same here though i’ve been taking a break from the game because of the average IQ of both sides in the game

what do you mean better in everything? i mean can both kill each other but the T34 is better? or is there just a super bad unrealistic balance problem? Im not playing Berlin atm, so i cant really follow…
They can kill each other, yeah, but T-34-85 bave it super easy.
