For some reason, it feels like Pz IV H has a higher survivability than Panther, could just be the fact that I don’t have much time spent with Panther yet, or it’s just a more desirable target/bigger target. But from my experience, my IV usually survived so much longer, and soaked everything better, especially sides. Even with the fact that Panther’s armour profile is so much higher.
So I’ve got a lot of play time logged in both vehicles I find that the Panzer doesn’t have better survival rating compared to the Panther given the thicker armor but with that being said the Panther is a much more enticing target. It’s no surprise to see people immediately run at you with no care for their lives while trying to suicide bomb you with explosive packs or jump into a plane and drop their entire payload on your head. I’ve found people don’t gun for the Panzer IV in the same way it’s kinda weird but I guess that’s just the way it goes

the second i see a panther im gonna hop in my p47, if i see a pzIV i just guess my tank teammates can kill him/keep him occupied

Absolutely right. The current extremely unbalanced air system allows you to always destroy the enemy if you want to.
You get on the plane, you destroy it. As long as you fly to the battlefield (15-20 seconds) you cannot be interrupted.
-panther struggles to penetrate IS 1 frontal ( which is ridiculous, 180 mm or pen vs 120mm of armor "slightly angled )
-Tiger 1 has a better gun than the Panther ( makes no sense)
-Panzer IV doesnt penetrate T34 hull armor reliably ( makes no sense 110mm of pen vs 45mm of armor
-Panzer IV in Moscow has a better AT gun than the Panzer III - makes no sense.
This could go on, and that all means that most tanks are overall too well armored compared to the real world, however since the ammo rack of the panther is very vulnerable it goes boom 100% of the time IF you land a shot to the side, which is not a problem if you dont angle your tank.
Still, T34 has better turret armor and better dmg ( makes no sense ) however since the panther cant be penetrated at its frontal hull armor it makes it kinda balanced, unrealistic yet balanced.

no it makes sense because the tiger 1 has 100 grams of explosive mass while panther has 28 grams of explosive mass just that the tiger 1 has 30mm less penetration

You would be correct I’ve been running the Tiger since it dropped in the Normandy Campaign and it’s very similar to the Panther you’re a huge menace on the battlefield but also a big target and allied air is your worst enemy

Pz3 and pz4H have a little extra armor on their side so bot can survive at some shot poor aimed and bad trowed deathpack but a skilled player always kill them, so for answering your question, yes them has a a bit of more survival rate because you dont find skilled player often
However their survival rate against good player is inferior to a panther/tiger
