Of course, because playing in br5 with br2-3 is the best matchmaking in the world… You don’t understand anything, do you want a good matchmaking? Look at league of legend, silver with silver, gold with gold…
Also, the other thing you said is extremely stupid… What do statistics matter in this game? It doesn’t even have a ranking or any other serious competitive mode. LOL
You answer arrogantly as if you were carrying the word of God and you end up humiliating yourself.
Haha its pretty funny
Bad idea.
The games are totally unbalanced.
Most of the games I play, the team has already lost a cap.
Another ridiculous situation. Your team has 3 real players. One plays with an plane, another with a tank and you’re left to do all the work yourself.
No, no and no.
Find out why people quit games.
And this is for YOU. If you’re always playing a game that’s already lost, don’t give the opposing team free exp. Leave the game immediately and join a worthwhile one.
It matters, otherwise you wouldn’t be participating in this discussion. Nor would you even bother to open a topic that is literally titled " Put desertion in stats".
So what, lol?
Comparing skill level to equipment power level is rather bizarre, lol.
Effectively comparing two different matchmakings that are fundamentally built on completely different premise lol.
Btw. LOL players are definitely never blaming the MM for putting them into lame teams.
The majority of average players don’t even have consistent performance. So SBMM can’t even be effective in principle. And it more or less does a service only to the top few percent of players in the highest ranks.
If you want to larp something like this, join a clan and go play “Enlisted esport” to customs…
You don’t need an MM for that.
Know perfectly well why people quit. And adding a desertion stat (which no one else sees i might add) is superfical. Its not even a punishment.
Just a reality check. Forfeit = lose
Those who just do it cos they are looking for a fun game experience can go right on ahead doing it.
Only person it hurts is someone who does it to maintain their “fake” win rate.
Breeds bad losers, and even worse winners
(Also skill base MM “artificially” tries to give you 50/50 win rate)
It sounds like stat nazism to me. . There are other things that DF needs to worry about. Not making desertions a loss or punishment bc stat nazis want to point fingers. Im a father of five, i work hard for my family. I dont have time to grind for 2 hours hoping for my favorite map or gamemode i want to play to show up. Punishing me or other players so stat focused players can accuse people of stuff is crazy. Not everyone is a 19 year old kid with nothing to do. My time is limited and i dont want it punished or restricted somehow bc i dont want to play my last map as conquest or any normandy factory map. Give players a choice before you start punishing them for it, like map preferences.
If you yourself weren’t a “stat focused player”. You wouldn’t give it a second thought. Because it doesn’t affect anyone that isn’t one.
Point fingers at what…no one can see your player card. The only reason to care at all is if you intend to share your stats and want it looking shiny, which in turn is the most toxic motive for leaving.
All it does is correct a flaw in the tallying system, which ALL sports/games be it recreational or competitive abide by…
Forfeit = loss
It’s a totally pointless suggestion.
People desert games for a variety of reasons that DEVs haven’t analysed.
Putting a ‘deserter’ status is the same as nothing.
It doesn’t change the team they’re on. It doesn’t change the enemy team.
That’s my opinion. That’s it.
Claiming that matchmaking works well and blaming the deserters for the unbalance in games does not match the reality I have observed when playing.
In my experience, current matchmaking (and those of the past as well) have deficiencies, of which we can only guess the causes because its internal operation is not sufficiently exposed for us to know how it works.
What I do agree with is that players who desert only increase the unbalance between teams that already exists.
If you think about it, anyone who’s against adding the desertion stat is basically just that: a desertor. I mean, you don’t mind adding a statistic, but you don’t want it implemented so the developers can “focus on another aspect of the game.” As if adding a statistic were a chore, bruh…
im a deserter and would love desertions to be added as a stat, not to brag but to help those that showcase their “my winrate is 95%” with actual fact of showing they havent padded that by deserting
Exactly, I never quit, if the game is really bad I stay back supporting the team until we lose, that’s what a lot of people are missing, but you’re right, a lot of people quit the game at the end so that the defeat doesn’t count in the statistics.
