Protection headgear, don't loose your head!

Body armor reduces ALL damage by 10%. collres__res:t="armor_sp38_05_ussr_winter_collision" - Example
	item__armorAmount:r=0.1
Helmets(Not All) and some caps reduce neck/head damage by 10%.	item__uniqueName:t="helmet_01_ussr_summer_item" "officer_cap_cord_07_ger_summer_item"
	item__armorAmount:r=0.1

Found this on Vaulty’s Enlisted Resource, so I decided to take a check editor for armored headgear.

Do note that headshots deal about x2.5 more damage, so actual effectiveness of 10% damage reduction from helmets is questionable.

Results are confusing.

Helmets with balaclava (soviet and german) doesn’t seem to count as armored, yet some pure cloth caps seem to be considered armored.

This one is not armored

These are armored

Everything italian marked as armored, even bustina peaked caps.
All japanese helmets aren’t armored.
Soviet steel helmets without balaclavas marked as armored.
For UK, tanker berets, lemon squeezer hats and moroccan thurbans marked as armored.
US green colored infantry helmets are armored, the ones with camo coverings and tanker helmets are not armored.
German steel helmets are armored (except the ones with balaclava and one with white cloth covering, camo coverings are all armored).

Headgear I’ve checked to be armored:(you could use ‘All clothing list Ids ( Portal )’ from ErikaKalkbrenner to check visuals, there are link for faction-specific equipment pictures)

This also lines up with my findings. For a while I was confused why German helmets in Moscow don’t seem to work. I knew that some helmets work and some don’t (and also some caps protect you) but didn’t know if there were any patterns.

Interesting data, I’d love to see them eventually come back to this feature and rework it to make a little more sense (also surprised to hear that no Japanese helmets get any protection).
