Proposal for communications overhaul in Enlisted:

I propose the task of creating new in-game communication mechanics that allow for more realistic exploitation of the radio role in hardcore mode.

First, we need to eliminate communication between squadrons formed by players in the lobby before the game starts.

Second, implement a two-way communication method exclusive to radio units, or units that carry radios, i.e. only players with radios can communicate. To do this, tanks, vehicles, and aircraft could allow communication with radios in the game. Modify the radio interface to show the communication channels, other active radios on the same side, and available vehicles, aircraft, or tanks with radios inside. As well as options for allowing more realistic and natural communication based on World War II communications.

On the other hand, eliminate the text chat from hardcore games and replace it with this more realistic communication system.

Radios will only work in tanks if there is someone occupying the radio position. They will also only work with player-controlled radios, allowing communication with other identified radios, tanks, or aircraft on their radio controller or radio graphical interface, only available to the radio class, or units occupying the radio position in vehicles, as well as pilots and tanks.

This is a royalty-free suggestion for improving communications mechanics in Enlisted’s hardcore mode and making the simulator more realistic and practical.

Good luck and see you soon.

1st random player in Lonefigther hardcore dont talk, they simply ignore the other and play as usual

2sd the only people wo talk on Lonefigther are squad of player wo use discord

I am all for a little more realism, but people hardly use the text chat now. Making it more difficult to communicate with your team would just kill communication entirely imo.

I’m usually all for realism but unfortunately I say no to this for a couple reasons.
This isn’t the most important thing to add right now.
People who use Discord and parties will increase in power.
This system will be overly complicated to newcomers.
While immersive, this gives more power to the radio operator role, which is less then desirable.
And finally, just add proximity chat or make soldier callouts in English, or at least make some subtitles in English (I like the foreign language callouts). Adding this can add immersion and a team aspect, while your suggestion will kill any coordination with randoms.
Tl;dr, cool, but not what we need.

Aside from this do you guys have any ideas, suggestions, or additions for the Radio class. With Engineers its easy because they just give them a new buildable, but I don’t know what more they could do with Radios

Making radio operators more in line with other classes:

I gathered only limited amount of interest/support.

Now that I think about it, they could add in other call-ins for Radios. We already have the HE, smoke, and bombing run, I’m sure there’s other material.
