Progression system #repost

a redesigned progression tree would greatly benefit the game, my idea for this would be as follows

stage 1

  • 1.1 splitting squads, vehicles and weapons apart so now they are two different unlocks (so you can unlock a AT squad but you will also have to unlock the AT weapon separately)
  • 1.2 adding the ammo bags and bags as well as mines to this new tree

satge 2

  • 2.1 dividing all the equipment in the game into three tiers, low-medium-high tier
  • 2.2 dividing all the weapons in the game into three tiers, low-medium-high tier
  • 2.3 dividing all the vehicles in the game into three tiers, low-medium-high tier
  • 2.4 incorporated squads into the low-medium tier to help deflate high tier and inflate low tier

stage 3

  • 3.1 replacing the level unlocks with instead a generic unlock token

  • 3.2 add three diffrent unlock tokens, low-medium-high tier unlock tokens

  • 3.3 unlocking low tier tokens for each level and every third level will give you mid tier and every 10 will give you a high tier token

  • 3.4 add prerequisites to certain things EG.
    -you need to unlock the m4a2 before you can unlock the m4a3e8 or the m4a1 76mm

  • you need to unlock the MP28 so you can unlock the mp38 then mp 40

  • you need to unlock the roks 2 afore the roks 3

  • you need to unlock the pz 3b afore the pz 3e

there is one small problem with this but
this would require the vehicle squads to become inter changeable with tanks and vice versa with the airframes

this would let the game “allow” small imbalances of equipment with allowing early war equipment into later campaigns so you could have a t-34(1941) in berlin and so forth

There’s should be some basic weapon though otherwise what’s the point of having this squad if can’t be used as intended. Overall the tree idea is great, i heard devs actually plan to change the progression a bit i really hope this is the direction they’re going.

Reading this, I thought, that somebody copied my theme from RU segment, but tokens are a new thing.
I see only one problem - where to place premium Stalingrad weaponry?

Full access weapons, that are in the progression, but locked for players that didn’t buy it

each campaign would have there own weapons tree so those in progression just would not be able to unlock them
