Then let’s do an experiment.
We take two hipothetical players. Both have the same level, equipment, weapons assigned to the exact same squads. But one has bought premium account and has additional squad slots. Skill is the same too of course.
Lets say that standard slots are filled the same: Assaulters, Snipers, Mortars and Plane - good setup for Invasion match.
But the map they got is Manor in Moscow. Pure CQB map.
Who will do better on that map: player who has only those 4 squads or player who has additional slots for more SMG or LMG squads and tank?
Just shoot at them with your SMG or MG, dude
Those are both far better than using the flak and most people are too shit in a fighter to actually engage other aircraft.

Or you just cannot deal with them because you lack slots to be able to. You need either engineer squad (because engineers themselves are unable to build AAA), or plane.
If you use engineer squad you are down to 2 free squads (which are getting occupied by another necessary squad of assaulters or snipers depending on the campaign) and you are down to only one free slot you can use for your own style.
Or you can take a plane and say goodbye to having option to use a tank.
Definitely just a convenience huh.
But I can keep repeating it 100 times over and despite being consistently in best 25% on scoreboard in matches all I will get “git gud” excuse.
You cannot reliably kill aircraft with that to be honest. You cannot engage those unless they fly near you and are slow enough. You know, there is reason for having AA guns IRL.

That’s a tradeoff that you could make. Or just buy an extra slot for like 500GE. I shilled making a plane and a tank slot for f2p, but that never got implemented and I doubt it will.
But $5 for a campaign you like to add that extra slot is more than reasonable and any player is able to afford it.
It is a git gud issue if my f2p friends top the board with me every match when they haven’t put a cent in other than buying a squad or two to get into the CBT.
You absolutely can if you don’t lead like you’re blind. We regularly down planes with SMG and MG. I’ve gotten a couple with bolt actions or my SVTs.
I want to get one with my Berdan but the bullet is very slow so idk about that.
Hell @18777203 blew an IL-2 out of the air with a PaK-38 the day before last.
That player that knows how to use those things. But tbh, i never use Mortars or Snipers, i dont like them. But even hipothetical, you can get in plane, try to kill some inf, tank or plane, you get shot down, then you can use Assaulters in Cqb, if you die, you can take snipers and flank, and then die and repeat. You dont need to use Mortar at all and rest is just sufficent.
Or, you dont have to use Eng, i almost never use them MG squad is just plain better, or even SMG squad. You think it is OP just because you have your mind set that i need those squads to win, but i instead play those squads i like and do good with them, i have Eng in every squad soo from him i got all esential things. I dont use snipers as i dont like be in one spot and shot from distance gameplay, i never liked camping, in WT or in any another game, it is boring for me.
And plane i use is Bf 109 because it can deal with both planes and tanks. And honestly, tank gameplay is boring for me as i played WT for 7 years, now i want to play infantry, and i never have problem with tanks, as every my soldier have TNT pack.
Right now I have all slots avaiable,
The only advantage I see is having all planes avaiable (I good at flying in this game) so if I die I spawn other plane right away

What you like or don’t like doesn’t matter now. This is the given setup to show how “convenience” can quickly turn to P2W.
Of course, you can “try to shoot some infantry” with a plane or flank with snipers. But how will that contribiute to the win with all points put inside buildings? On the same time player with more SMG and LMG squads put in his additional slots will dominate the battlefield and win the game.
Of course one with automatic weapons wins, but that is your problem you have only mortar and snipers there, as you want some easy kills. Lets be honest here, those are easy kills weapons, and i dont honestly know how would that turn out, as i would never had such a set of squads. Soo it still depends on players.
Or 5 soldiers all with automatic weapon? At least that is how looks like my radio squad.
Than you have very interesting radio squad, because mine has only the option to choose between one SMG or LMG. Or you just play in Normandy and gave them all FGs/M2s depending on the side you play. But those weapons are a seperate problem.
The point of the experiment is not to provide situation that is exact like in the match. There are many factors that can change result of the battle: team, experience, equipment. That is why we must create situation where the only different factor is presence of additional slots given by premium account.
And that shows that convenience and flexibility provided by them is enough to be considered P2W.
