I’ve recently run into trolls who are causing problems for their team mates. Specifically when you deploy a tank squad. If you come to a stop somewhere then engineers can build tank traps all around your tank which prevents you from moving. Typically they build one in front, one behind and 2 either side.
The only way to remove these when playing solo and you don’t have a team mate who can cooperate and help to dismantle them is to leave the tank and deconstruct them yourself. At which point whoever built them can simply enter your tank and steal it from you.
While I think it’s a good feature to allow team mates into empty spaces in your tank, allowing them to essentially steal the tank is extremely bad, and needs to be fixed before this behaviour starts to spread. I don’t know the best fix for this problem, but I think that when you attempt to enter your own tank, if there’s no space for you to enter, it should auto-kick any non-squad members and allow you back into the commander position. Or at the very least just give players the option to toggle on a vehicle lock that prevents anyone from entering.
I do think it’s still not ideal because it means team mates can’t join and help is good situations, like if they want to use the top mounted MG. But it’s at least a better option than stealing. Appreciate the help.

I mean I’ve around 5000 battles under my belt, and this has never happened to me.
Are you sure there are teammates doing shenanigans and not enemies?
I’ve been trolling enemy tankers many times doing stuff like this (especially when I ran out of options to destroy the tank).
However, if this happens to you, and you need to dismantle stuff make sure to change settings in battle. You can always change back once you’re done.
It’s not super common, I had it happen to a friend in a game we were in together and at first thought it was an enemy that had done it, but on review of the playback it turned out to be a friendly. And then it just happened to me for the first time, twice over the last few days. I’m at 734 battles.
My primary worry is that having never really seen it much before and starting to see it repeatedly recently that this kind of griefing will rapidly become more common as knowledge of it will start to spread.
It’s just really lame that people can do this and get away with it, even if you lock your tank and sacrifice your friends being able to join, having to take ages dismantling the traps when you’re exposed puts your drivers at risk and the entire tank at risk, it’s going to take you a good 1.5-2 minutes to dismantle all 6 traps since the dismantle speed is so slow.
It’s made worse because tanks are such an important piece of equipment in the game, they cost more tickets to deploy, and they play a unique role at keeping enemy armour at bay, good tank drivers can make or break a battle and to let some trolls just get away with crippling them isn’t good.
