Premium Squads should allow for additional troops up to the limit of their non-premium counterparts

For example the Premium MP-41 Squad allows for 4 people, the normal version allows for 7 at least, which is potentially a lot more firepower and kinda makes the premium one redundant and amusingly underpowered.

The Premium squads allowed for more soldiers in the CBT, so I don’t know why it was removed, shouldn’t you be rewarding players for purchasing these squads, not hindering them not only strenghtwise ingame, but progress-wise, as they cannot be used to upgrade other squads or anything?

So I suggest we re-add the ability for premium squads to take on more troops, provided they fit the squad’s class (assaulters can take assaulters, gunners taking gunners, etc), this allows them to be ‘buffed’ over time with more troops, but not become OP by mixing engineers, radiomen, snipers, etc into them.

squads composed of 7 assaulters or 7 LMG gunners were:
-ahistorical
-overpowered
That option should definetely not come back. IF option to add more soldiers comes back then they should be standard troopers/one engineer. Nothing more.

Getting four fully trained V level (when you speak about MP-41/PPK/LMGs before change) soldiers with fully upgraded and unique weapon is not rewarding enough? That is still more automatic weapons than free squads can provide. Plus you get boost to campaign exp.

Only 3 squads allow you to take 7 soldiers into battle, one allows 9 soldiers. Rest have 5 and 6 max number of soldiers.

Good thing I stated their non-premium counterparts! Whatever they may be! 3-4-5-6-7-8 or 9!

And the game is ahistorical already, Germany did not have never-ending hordes of MP41 wielding supersoldiers, nor did Russians have an infinite supply of obscure Korovin submachineguns.

Assaulter Squad can take 7 men, so Premium Assaulters should take 7 too.

Gunners can take 7, so Premium Gunners should take 7 too.

The Squad’s maximum potential is gimped otherwise.

it is better this way
in CBT i had, of course, premium squad of assaulters
The 4 premium soldiers, and 3 other assaulters. I had no reason to use the regular assaulter squad except to upgrade the assaulter weapons, because I had the premium squad already.
Each non-premium assaulter had a ppd drum and shotgun, medkits, detpacks, the whole set up.
It was kind of overpowered. Regular assaulter squad could not compete.

As of now I think just 4 men is fine. When I see premium squad looking guy I know “he only have 4 guys” and can plan accordingly
otherwise everyone will just do what I did, have big premium squad with fully kitted normal guys in it too

maybe if could only add regular troopers to the squad, that might be fine but im not sure

The point is that any assaulter squad can take 7 men, so ergo the Premium version should be just as capable.

Technically if you’ve played enough with 7 max tier assaulters with the endgame weapons/gear, the premium version will be rather comically weaker. At the moment nobody’s got that good gear yet, but it’ll happen eventually.

And the Premium Squad does not unlock bonuses to the Assaulter weapons, only the normal version does. This incentives using the normal version as well.

I suspect that they will change balance again when players will level up enough.

I’d say the limit was done for balancing and to avoid Pw2 aspects.

7 is too much add 2 extra troppers thats all i can say

It was pretty OP in CBT when you could have 7 assaulters in the squad, I agree limiting the squads to 4 though was a wrong decision. The premium squads can’t even contribute to the team’s fortifications or forward as they are the (I think?) only squads without engineers. Letting them have a couple troopers or a trooper and engineer at least would be nice.
