Anyone familiar with the game knows how premium Squads are somewhat on the pricey side, but they’re very useful when trying to grind out some Campaign levels when paired with Premium Time. However once you’ve fully leveled at Campaign then that premium squad suddenly just becomes another squad and depending on what premium unit we’re talking about it may not be useful compared to other Squads you’ve unlocked from the Campaign tree.
Similar games to Enlisted like War Thunder or World of Tanks have a slightly better system for their premium squads and vehicles. In WT for example you earn not only the increased experience like in Enlisted but also increased silver currency.
Obviously in Enlisted we don’t have silver currency system but I still believe an additional earnings benefit would help to further justify the high price point of the premium Squads in game right now.
This could maybe come in the form of extra bronze of silver orders possibly.
Alternatively the more creative idea I had in mind was adding a new Free XP system to the game Similar to what is present in World of Tanks. You earn this free xp along side your normal Campaign experience but free xp would be available to use on anything, any Campaign, any faction. This would give people the chance to put some extra experience towards a Campaign they’re grinding even while playing another campaign. This could be really beneficial to players who wanna squad up with some mates but maybe they’re playing a different Campaign… at least this way you can still get something out of it to put towards what you want.
Getting back to my point about Premium Squads if a system like this was implemented then Premium units could have additional xp bonuses which would keep them relevant even after you’ve maxed out that particular Campaign tree, you can keep earning additional free xp and that can go towards another campaign you want to level up.

I like the first idea with gaining more orders, but isn’t that what you literally get due to 100% more experience? You grind faster your cards, technically.
Second idea: free XP. There is a lot of pros and cons.
Legitimately a lot of players would just put that XP into underpopulated campaigns while playing meta factions thus damaging the game and the underdog factions itself.
Totally fair point, if a free xp system did show up it would definitely have to be a reduced amount of earned experience compared to the normal campaign progression
I can’t speak for everyone, although I’ve got several Premium squads and wouldn’t mind one bit if the devs lowered the base prices to be reasonable. They should compensate everyone with some free silver order though. Just my opinion.
Yes we do need the prem squads to be cheaper
I myself don’t care about the weapon being obsolete cos every weapon has it’s own gameplay but 5k Gold is ridiculous
They could be cheap, ofc, since multiple squads on a pre-order pacific show they can sell 4 for the price of a single smg tier 1 premium squad.
The issue for me, it’s just the lack of a engineer on them. Over the months I have bn asking multiple times for them (devs) to add a eng on old premium squads.
Keofox already answer us that said feedback was passed to the devs. Hopefully they find a way to bring said eng to older premium squads.
The prices, (again, could be cheap) but personaly I have got every penny worth of them from the number of batles and hours I played with them, and I fully agree a 4 man squad is totally useless for a player like me with all campaignw always maxed.
I m more than happy to spend money on games because I want and above all can. But I choose to avoid them now a days purely because of knowing that they are somehow worst at the end of the day.
They are amazing to grind, but one using them will miss better options at the end of the day.
If time isn’t the issue, no one really need premium squads. They are a novelty that at the end of the day.
Btw, this comes from a player with 40+ premium squads. What do I know…
Also, if they add a eng to old premiums, I ill be more than happy to compleat my collection. Money isn’t the issue personaly, don’t get me wrong here please, but I just don’t find them worth the investment as they are right now.
