Premium Squad Upgrade Tiers/Ranks

Disclaimer: If you are just going to whine and complain please leave. I want only those who want the game to be better and give good explanations as to why they want it that way.

If you don’t know much about premium squads, a good lad has posted screenshots in the comment section explaining some of the stuff.

Welcome To English 101
Today’s topic will be about Premium Squads and their Tiers/Ranks. I would like everyone to explain why they liked the idea, or why they did not like the idea. All ideas are welcome to help improve the squads.

Main Topic: Upgrade Tiers
I would like the ability with the new soldier upgrade system to be able to upgrade Premium Squad tiers from the base tier to tier 2, tier 3, etc. This will allow them to be more useful now and later on as they add more tier-specific upgrades to those classes.

The Tier I am referring to is the soldier/squad tier not rank. The Tier is the two dots as shown. The Rank is the roman numeral III.

There’s also the suggestion of just adding the new upgrades to existing premium squads rather than upgrading their tiers.

How To Upgrade Tiers?
I suggest using the new system by either spending a bunch of bronze, a quit bit of silver or even gold soldier orders in order to upgrade as well. Upon upgrading each squad to a new tier the squad level will be set back to 0. The squad upgrades can also be reset to compensate for this. This way you can get higher-tier soldiers that will be able to get access to newer tier-specific upgrades and have the premium squads last longer. That way they can be used at higher campaign levels when they increase it even more.

Rank 5 Soldiers
I also wish for them to be able to upgrade to rank 5 soldiers as well later on. This feature can help the player moreover as the AI in squads usually dies really easily. You can make the requirements expensive, campaign locked, or whatever you wish to help make it feel balanced.

How To Get Rank 5 Premium?
I suggest using the new system by either spending a bunch of bronze, a quit bit of silver or even gold soldier orders in order to get each soldier upgraded. For balance reasons if you want you can even make it so they don’t get more perks.

Conclusion
As it stands now I can agree with others that premium squads just are not very worth it. Other than the XP boost they don’t offer much.

This is what I have suggested when speaking with other people. Please feel free to comment below with your ideas.

Premium squads have a price comparable to a good paid game…

At least premium units should have lower twice the cost, and maybe three times, the current price is absurd.

For the price of some of the squads, they aren’t worth it. But it just goes down to whether you can use them effectively or not.

This price is clearly absurd.It is difficult to make sure that the premium squad does not “pay for the victory” so that it matches the price \ quality.

Define Tier: The number behind that class, like Tanker I/II/III. Rank: full stars of the soldier.
Emm, actually many premium squads (Not gold coin squads) has custom perk point:

(I just updated rider/Assaulter III/Tanker III of this then seeing your post)
Higher Tier only gives a slight benefits.
PS: Tunis’ CBT squads’ perk point is trash, ONLY 5 points for vitality!

But after the cancellation of Academy, the only way of “upgrade” tier is via Academy 3 to 1 function. Hope devs will come up with some kind of new system of upgrading tier.

But current heros/premium soldiers are defined never able to level ups…

Also if premium can be level up, many players will just like end of CBT, complains of how OP the P2W stuffs.
Currently, premium/gold coin stuffs isnt strong, or worth buying at all. If you think the price isnt worth it, just dont buy it, and make a suggestion here for possibility of sales in the future.

What I suggested would make them more like free to play squads since regular squads can already do it. Currently the free to play squads are more “OP” than premium squads as they can use whatever weapon they want and can be upgraded.

According to a Development post a while ago, the Academy will be removed and instead you will be using Bronze Soldier Orders to upgrade your soldiers ranks, along with the removal of Academy is spare parts and the RNG Bronze Order packs for Weapons and Troops so the only way to get new weapons and soldiers will be via silver orders. The Bronze Orders for Weapons and Troops will effectively replace the Academy and Spare parts of weapons using those orders to level up soldiers and weapons.

Yeah most current monetization squads are just for starters, while higher CAMP LV players has few reasons to buy and use them.
The thing is, how will dev balance the strengthen of them.
Another important thing is most monetization squads are single class squads. While current engineer role is too OP that almost a must have in all infantry squads.
I’d rather just buy for some special weapons and skins, not the squad itself…
So, I do think premium squads may have space for some extra room to upgrade. But not on soldier’s ranks, but the squad’s slots to fit other roles.

I wish I had nearly that may orders, although maybe I will when they do that system since you can sell your weapons and soldiers for orders.

Since you did the squad slots, do you happen to know the price per slot since they increase? And which ones grant you Inf. slot vs a vehicle slot? Thinking about getting some.

you can bring up to 6 vehicles or up to 8 inf squads at time.

info on top of the squad:

its the same on all campaigns.
once you bought one, slot on a campaign, it will be avaiable for both army sides on that campaign.
as follows:

best invesment ingame by a large margin.
