I am quite upset that my Premium Squads look like vanilla squads in other campaigns then the one I purchased them in. One of the main reasons I buy Premium Squads is for the unique look. I feel like I’m getting cheated a bit here.
By the same token I feel like it is milking players to make them buy customizations for each map set. If you buy a customization it should apply everywhere, maybe just in different colors? IDK, it feels cheap and like they are punishing those of us who spent real money before this update.
We all have different reasons for getting premiums. Sometimes it’s their appearance, others just for the weapon, others for the novelty
I think we should just be able to customize them just like all the other squads. I don’t think that big of a deal to “buy” new cosmetics unless you’re paying with gold, which I think it’s just silly.
They practically give appearance orders like candy
Normally I would say no, but the Italian squads in Game STILL have the wrong uniforms on many of them. And the Premium Radio squad had German uniforms until the last update. I have no faith that DF won’t ignore the Italian squads again.
I understand that some premium squad appearances really don’t fit in other campaigns, but the vast majority of them should be maintained for all campaigns. Even if you don’t want the entire outfit to carry over, perhaps instead only some of it would carry over, like with the Moroccans they get to keep their turbans but the rest of their uniform changes with the campaign.
What is the point of offering unique customization for squads and then unnecessarily removing it? Why would you want to restrict people from using their premium appearance in favor of the generic customization instead of simply having both systems?
Premiums generally worked perfectly fine because they were restricted to a single campaign but this issue has started because everything is getting mixed up
I don’t think anyone is confused about why it’s happening, simply that it shouldn’t be happening for the vast majority of the squads. I don’t think historicity is even a valid argument in favor of such a system since none of the paratroopers have restricted appearances.
I agree with a neglect towards Italian uniforms. Usually with only a little research it is easy to find the German squadrons and the uniforms they used and said battles events etc. But there is such minimal information and photographic evidence as to what the Italian Army used in some battles that it leaves a lot to the imagination. Not to mention that all Italian squads come with a default vanilla tunic and German pith helmet. Hell even the bursagliari uniforms can’t be edited and they’re the ones that would make the most sense and use of the new SMG chest rigs available
for no reason uniforms should be locked only behind to premium units. unless experimental / not widely used such as the stg 45 squad or the lewis moscow mg squad.
i love uniforms, but don’t care about the weapon or bonuses.
i just want the uniforms on my non premium squads.
hence, the solution would be, expand the customization onto all squads and let the player decide what they want to wear ( with some restriction. no winter uniforms in the desert and so on )
at the same time, for players that bought premium, let them able to use infinitely the cosmetic that they bought onto normal squads and everyone would be happy.
the question remain.
will df actually do that?
not sure.
although, for prices of appearances should decrease.
because we now have more than 30/50 soldiers ( depending on how many slots ) and having to dress them up for 3/4 campaigns quite possibly, even more due to future campaigns coming.
There are some good ideas here. I mean DF is gonna have to make some business decisions, but the idea that you have to buy the same customization over and over feels … evil. And the Premium squads not having their uniforms across the campaign is dumb. They need to figure something out.
they sure took the right approach of not doing that.
because as someone else said, enlisted is unironically one of the few free to play titles with the least care in customization compartment.
one might argue “” b-b-buhhh merge!111 “”
yeah. too bad the customization existed long before the actual merge was even announced.
and 0 improvements were made to it despite the community feedbacks and suggestions.
so. i’m not entirely sure what type of business decisions they are doing.
because sure are some of the most wild ones ever made and questionable nontheless.
anyway.
well, it kinda was to be expected.
after all, not to sound a jerk, but you can’t really expect to use winter uniforms in the desert, or viceversa.
hence, makese sense you get some sort of conversion.
with that being said, they could have at least made an ettempt to tackle this issue by giving the same uniforms with just different coloration and what not.
because the moscow units incompativble with stalingrad or normandy & berlin it is a " funny " joke.
