We already have giretsu kuteitai in current pacific. Kutetai actually was a last ditch effort in 1944; But Another earlier paratroopers unit also existed in japanese army
Teishin Shudan
after the early blitzkrieg succes of germany and good falschimjager performances, japanese copied german paratroopers and created this special attack forces.

they saw combat in indonesia , burma, invasion of philipines and later retaking of philipines 1944
they should not be confused with Rikusentai and Kutetai, they were seperate units
edit: you ptobably ask “why the hell 1 army have 3 seperate paratrooper units”. well thats another nasty story about japanese army during ww2

They could be given either smgs, or a special version of the type 38 carbine that had a folding stock.

they actually had type 2 terra rifle which we dont have in current pacific but giving them bolties meanwhile giving other paratroopers smgs or powerfull assaulr rifles seems too unfair

But they could pick up something else from the supply box.
(although yes it would be unfair)

Just give them all dual katanas. That’s what I want.

Bolties would be fine. The premium bundles are late paratroopers, since there is a tier system coming there should be early paratroopers too.

Early fallschirmjagers landed with only lugers, then grabbed kar98s and smgs from their drop.

Im really hoping for some early fallshirmjagers. I think eary japanese would be good too

we also have type 100 SMG for paratroops in premium medic squad, oh im looking forward to see this guys in pacific
