In the fall of 1944 Germany created Volksgrenadier divisions to address manpower shortages and adapt to the deteriorating situation after the devastating defeats during the summer of 44 on both the Western and Eastern fronts. These divisions were made up of experienced combat veterans, officers, and superfluous Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe personnel. Volksgrenadiers more commonly used automatic weapons like submachine guns and the latest assault rifles to maximize firepower as opposed to the typical infantry division.
I think this squad could have a very interesting unique weapon. One that exemplifies the Volksgrenadiers prolific use of mass automatic weapons as well as being “grenadiers”…a Stg 44 with grenade launcher

I believe the Soviets also had an AVS or AVT with a grenade launcher. Could be perfect for an Assaulter grenadier event

Sounds like a plan to me. I’m sure DF could just make up another fictional gun for the Japs to use
Unfortunately Japan may not have anything close to an assault rifle with a grenade launcher, but I will say that that shouldn’t stop the other factions from receiving one. I don’t think its a big deal
I believe (and correct me if I’m wrong here) there were experiments with rifle grenades on Type 4 prototypes, but they didn’t really work out well and that’s the closest we’d have to a grenade AR.
