Ever since the beginning of the war Germany tried to progressively simplify their war production to more efficiently feed their war machine. Never was this more dire than in the last days of the war. After years of developing the Sturmgewehr Germany tried to simplify it in the last year of the war, this project was the Stg 45. Mauser, Grossfuss, and Haenel each developed their own prototypes. The Mauser model is an old premium squad, the Grossfuss model is an old event squad. This is the Haenel model. This is an Assault squad
This squad can be based on the Doeblitz Infantry School infantry companies that helped defend Berlin from the Soviets. This squad would have a very unique appearance headgear, the Stahlhelm M1945. German scientists were developing a modernized Stahlhelm that offered more protection for the infantry. This new M1945 was sent to the Doeblitz Infantry School for testing. There are reports of the Soviets encountering soldiers with these new helmets. Notably the M1945 is the direct predecessor of the post-war East German Stahlhelm
