Premium/ Event Army Rangers Guerilla Squad

The United States Army Rangers are an elite light infantry special operations unit. The Rangers trace their lineage from various ranger units throughout American history of soldiers with hunting and survival skills operating in harsh territory. The Rangers fought in North Africa, Italy, and their most famous operation was D-Day when they scaled the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc to capture a German artillery battery. The Rangers received their war cry on D-Day when Brigadier General Norman Cota of the 29th Infantry Division asked Major Max Schneider of the 5th Ranger Battalion “What outfit is this?” to which Max replied “5th Rangers sir!” to which Norman said “Well goddamnit if you’re Rangers lead the way!”. Thus the Ranger motto “Rangers lead the way!” was born, and is still their motto to this day

They would be a Guerilla squad because the Rangers would scout into enemy territory

Their unique weapon could be the Winchester M2 rifle. This rifle was developed from the experimental Winchester G30 rifle as a competitor to the M1 Garand. They optimistically named it the M2 because they thought they would be able to replace the Garand but it failed. However this rifle did have some potential and it was essentially scaled down and would eventually end up creating the famous M1 Carbine based on this rifle. So essentially this is a giant M1 Carbine
