With the upcoming warthunder conversion will come different tech trees, and endless possibilities.

Anyway, as much as it will be possible to see post ww2 tech trees, I’d like to see real old stuff as well for different gameplay.

as after all, despite already having some ww1 weapons, i don’t see the need for the averange joe ( no pun intended ) to having to grind ww1 just to then get to the ww2 stuff.
at least, imo.
Just make “ww1 germany” etc. trees. They don’t have to be conected at all.
Allthough it would be funny to have roman gear that gets upgraded to italian ww2 stuff.
Ww1 can be introduced with separate small nation no more than 20 gun and a couple of veichle the rest are premium squad as usual

This game could really milk it. Thats why Im really hoping this merge works out.
so we can go forward or rewind and play different eras…But I suppose in the end it would undo what the merge would achieve (because people would be separated by eras)
or worse…STGS and AVTs vs AK47 and M16 lol (not that they couldnt do it…immersion)
In truth, I’m persuaded the game did not need such a merge to survive… But devs desperately needed to find a way to keep selling premiums.
They could only create so many better than the previous ones premiums. What is there after AS44, or mg45???
With their br limitations however… ALL premiums become relevant again, for their corresponding br. Thus, their sales get boosted again,and it allows them much freedom into pumping as much content as they want by converting Enlisted into a 100% arcade game where everything goes. And I mean, everything!
Just hoping they stop being cheap with slots, and premiums come with their own or something.

All I know is I will be happy to have all my bad ass gear and troops for Germans and allies in same tree.
A little disappointed British arent their own faction…but I assume it will come eventually in the form of Commonwealth.
I’ll just be happy to spam good old premiums a bit more (if only df stoped being cheap and gave all old premiums engineers…), provided we have enough slots to do so.
I started using my favourite vehicle, the Chaffee, again in Normandy. I had stopped for a while just because for a long time, it wasn’t fun playing as allies in Normandy, (unless in a stack). Now that some allies players are back, Normandy is fun and challenging again… and I spam my beloved light tank. I suspect it will be the same br as the Puma… It handles so similarly.

I’m hoping alot of my favorites are low - mid BR (I love rifles and light vehicles). Panzer II flamer, Nebelwerfer, the new flakpanzer SPAA, some of my moscow early premiums. gold weapons (mp 41, mkb 35, ls26, VMP, mg30…and ofcourse all those mannlichers from stalingrad)…I collect early war exotic stuff.
I did play some Normandy last night, Had to try out my new calliope and paratroopers, LOL…the death and destruction those 2 squads cause…wow
Calliope vs enemies with no experience is… brutal Haven’t got premium paras yet, because it irks me that a new feature gets paywalled, at the price of a AAA game, while free paras aren’t even released yet… I might get them one day if it’s 50% off AND if we have enough slots to use them.
read this, df? premiums need their slots! I’ve got so many premium riflemen teams… uh… In fact I bough them all…

Not a bad idea. The gun play is already there for bolt action, just throw in the rare SMG and shotguns and you got some chaotic fun.
