Pre-order: Radio operators of Rzhev

Based on the first devblog about graphics improvements, you can already judge the upcoming major update, but that’s not all. Among the new features, you will also find new mechanics, one of which will be available to unique radio operator squads.

You can already pre-order these squads with additional bonuses!

ROCKET ARTILLERY

Powerful rockets filled with explosives are highly effective against both infantry and armored vehicles - they can destroy a tank by hitting the roof of the turret! A rocket strike consists of 24 launches compared to 19 shells of a normal artillery barrage, and lasts longer - 8 seconds versus 4.5.

This new type of fire support will be first available to the premium Soviet and German radio operators of these new squads. The principle of calling in a rocket artillery strike and its timer will be identical to that of normal artillery barrage.

The Soviet squad is armed with the 1930 model of the Degtyarev self-loading rifle.

A rifle produced in limited numbers by the famous designer has good damage, a five-round magazine with fast reloading, and an optical sight that allows you to keep your distance from the enemy and call in artillery strikes more accurately on their heads.

In addition to 4 radio operators, the squad also includes an engineer.

They have the ability to call in a rocket artillery strike.

332nd Infantry Regiment with Walther A115 (BR III)

332nd Infantry Regiment with Walther A115 (BR III)

The German squad is armed with the Walther A115 semi-automatic rifle.

A rare experimental semi-auto rifle, on which the company tested many innovative solutions. The sight is open, comfortable, and in many ways similar to other German weapons. The rifle’s fixed magazine holds 10 rounds.

In addition to 4 radio operators, the squad also includes an engineer.

The squad’s rocket artillery is just as deadly as the Soviet one.

What types of German and Soviet rockets are used in rocket bombardment?
And are there any plans to bombard Japan and the US with rockets?

I wondered when the leaks of these were going to come out

My Feedback:

Rocket strike:
Good:

  • New mechanic, more diversity

Bad:

  • Rockets look like they are falling straight from the sky, they should fly from more angle

Premium squads:
Good:

  • German one got unique rifle and unique uniform
  • Soviet one got a unique rifle

Bad:

  • Soviet uniform is not unique enough, its the regular coat with a bit more fur.

Just what we didn’t ask for: more damn HE to ruin the infantry gameplay experience. Except this one lasts longer and as described seems more powerful.

It’d be really cool if you did something to lessen the impact of HE spam on infantry instead of just encouraging it. Crazy concept, but some of us like using our guns in a FPS instead of just having the map be a giant headshake HE fest.

Except that tommys katyusha strike looks better, as you can see the rockets flying in from behind the lines.

Watch the map for red circle and you will be safe from artillery :+1:

Try to hold an open point on defense when there’s artillery being constantly spammed on it. Or do you just not play the game to understand that arty is almost always on the point, all the time?

Or you just don’t play the objective.

Would you consider a discount on premium units for people who have already unlocked everything in every tech tree?

Would be cool if the 2 squads had the same BR…

Their angle is approximately 65 degrees.

We made a sharper angle, but it greatly hinders the ability to aim at the map. I have discussed this with the developers, but it’s great that you have also noticed it, and a screenshot of your message would be helpful.

Look new content! Rare sight these days!

So the rocket barrage is exlusive to premiums? pfffff

So battle of Rzhev is the new map? Hoping for 2kmx2km size

with this upcoming squad, could you please add coloured arty circles in game

ie red is enemy arty, orange is team mates.

will there be anything to differentiate between what the arty strikes are? rockets/bombs/etc?

Open objective and red circle - I fall back, because otherwise it is useless death.

Closed objective (building) - I stay and defend :mechanical_arm:
