While it is true that most soldiers are right-handed, there are documented cases of soldiers who were left-handed, most of them accommodated themselves to shoot like a right-handed soldier but there were cases where they shot in a… peculiar way, that is why I would like to be able to choose from which side is more comfortable for me (even if the weapon is designed for right-handed people) or perhaps allow us to look from the right or left angle of the weapon to shoot, to give a curious character we have Ludmilla Pavlichenko a famous Russian Sniper in WW2 used to fire her bolt operated rifle with the butt in the left shoulder using her left eye. But, operated the bolt and the trigger with her right hand. I t must have worked she was credited with 309 German kills so it wouldn´t be too crazy
I’m left handed but naturally shoot right handed
My mother is right handed but naturally shoots left handed
I blame her for this predicament
My father was left handed but shot right handed. But man o man did he have a heck of a leftie curve when bowling.
Interesting idea!
I’ve only shot a .22 rifle once and although right handed I myself find left hand shooting far more comfortable (even if only with a Nerf gun rifle).
I physically cant get my right eye down the sight properly, not sure why.
Sort of related: So I’m Australian and we drive on the right hand side of the road.
Now in Enlisted am used to the American Studebaker which is left hand drive and I was surprised how awkward and weird it is driving the Japanese truck even though it is on the ‘correct’ side for real life cars in Australia. (Japan is also right hand drive)
