Before I post as bug, anyone notice the Potez. After approx 5 mins at 99% Throttle which is not even WEP, starts dying out, not sure if it is bugged or overheating, but trying to level this plane, no I don’t want to use Ju87.
Anything I am missing here, regarding engine and throttle?
For as much as I fly in this game I only once tried to use aircraft for almost entire battle at 99% throttle (A-20 in Normandy) and that ended bad for my engines after some minutes, can’t say how long but definitely not much longer than 10-15min. This is why I always wonder why some people say it is safe to fly at 99% when for me it’s not, and also I’ve seen many posts over the last 8-10 months from different people saying their engines were losing power after few minutes of flying at 99% throttle, just under the WEP.
What I do to make sure my engine/s will be fine is to always fly 2 clicks below max throttle (2 key presses). That is 88% for planes using 110% max, and 80% for planes using 100% max. I am not saying I know everything about it, but this is how I fly my aircrafts to not kill my engine/s, maybe there are some planes that are more tolerant to this 99% setting.
In this case I wouldn’t say it’s a bug, I also used this aircraft (Potez 633) and was flying at 88% most of the time, only from time to time using WEP, and I was fine for much more than this 5 minutes.
Great so the Potez is kinda like the A20, I learnt about that plane a while back.
It’s exactly like the p47 when it first came out you couldn’t go above 77 or it died
