Possible weapons for the Berlin campaign (VG 1-5, SKS 45 etc.)

Note: I did not take part in previous tests of the Berlin campaign so if I suggest a weapon that was already available / planned i’m sorry.

Soviet:
SKS 45
The SKS was field tested against the Germans at the end of WW2 and is thus quite fitting for the game. It fired the 7.6239 mm cartridge which performance wise it is slightly stronger than 7.9233 mm kurz used in the StG 44 and VG 1-5.

M1/M1928A1 Thompson
A large number of Thompson SMGs were supplied to the Soviet Union as part of the Lend-Lease programm. It would thus make sense to add it as at some point, especially because it quite distict from the typical Russian SMGs like the PPD/PPSH.

Firing modes: Full Auto / Semi Automatic

German:
VG 1-5
The VG 1-5 was one of the last ditch rifles developed to arm the Volksturm, it fired the 7.92*33 mm cartridge. Excact production numbers are unknown but it is likely that between 10.000-20.000 were made.

Firing modes: Semi Automatic

Fliegerfaust B
it was field test at the end of the war and intended to give a normal infantry man a weapon against low flying aircraft. It fires 4 rockets (20 mm) right after the trigger pull and another 5 with a 0.2 second delay. In the game it would likely not be too effective against aircraft, it however could be interesting as an anti-infantry weapon considering the 20 mm HE rockets it fires.

i would like to point out that the VG 1-5 is already present in the game, and it has been tested during the first alpha of berlin:

weather for the fliegerfaust, those were really rare.

and quite frankly, " the game is not worth the candle "

like, we don’t have proofs of being used and be effective at all. it would require quite huge work behind. something that with all due respect, should be putted behind something else.

but nontheless, the other weapons are interestring.

Now in the first 15 levels you have to unlock those same things in Normandie and Moscow again, which is really boring. In Normandie u got Gewehr 43 with scope for sniper II, but in berlin only Karl 98k. Apart from Panzer and Panzerfaust, almost everything is the same as Normandie, or even worse, which make me lose the last motivation to play it. If you would got MP43 and Panzer in Normandie in the future, why must you wasts your time to play Berlin and go through this long boring unlocking process again?

well, this doesn’t seems the right place for this conversation.

i’ll just end it by saying that campaings are different. and perhaps might not match your preferences.

you decide to play normandy or berlin. not the game.

I mean just make it fire the shots like a shotgun, and fire the same 20mm HE rounds like the AA guns

the model? further fixes ? sounds? coding?

all usefull time and money that could be used for bug fixes which are more needed and easier to do.

since some of these requires some fixes on things already made. like, the foundamental code is there.

The model wouldn’t be any more complex than any other weapon. Same for sounds and as mentioned, the code.

Dont give the snail more blueprints and experimental stuff.
