The plane damage models we have in the game is really rubbish.I was a Ace Pilot in War Thunder I am humbly referring to me having a lot of games at RB and SB in War thunder.I love to fly Bf-109’s simply due to me being in love with them so I use the G-6 in Normandy and here are the things I have encountered:
Landing perfect 100 to 150 rounds to a Spitfire with 20 and 13 mm’s but there was no damage to the Spitfire whatsoever.
I had the chance of being on an IL-2’s six o’clock and landing all of my shots with perfection but the IL-2 had literally no damage at all. And this goes with all of the planes, most likely.
And here are how YOU can destroy a plane in the game (depending on my experience):
1-> Pilot kill (Which has a super low chance so just forget about it.)
2-> Fuselage rip off (Especially happens to P-38’s for some reason)
3-> Setting on fire (Happens only 2 in 10 times)
But other then these it seems like there are no different things.I am meaning stuff that occurs in War Thunder.
I would love to see the damage model of War Thunder in Enlisted
lol yet the 109s and fw goes down realy easy. and ya It took 2 of us to kill a A10 i had the bf110 and guy had a fw we had to reload and unload a 2nd time some even take 3 reloads and ya I know what im doin
Yesterday I played with Bf 109 and tripple 20mm canons were enough to shred A20 with some good hits.
Although Bf 109 with one canon requires quite a lot of shots.
damage model in war thunder is reason why i left it - planes in war thunder are faaaaar too fragile, and snail is hiding behind “we have no documentation”
if you want damage model of war thunder, there is a simple solution, play war thunder and not enlisted
i am not against of some minor breaking of realism for balance, but what was done in war thunder is far beyond every measure + no balance has been done by making all of planes so fragile
i have shot down Bf 110 in normandy using one of the parked biplanes in the airfield map (what are they called again? hs123 or something) point is that you wont snap off the wing of the aircraft - try to damage its critical parts, resulting in plane not having enough power to fly anymore - for sure it wont be very dramatic, but will get the job done
As Jagd said, planes were way more fragile in CBT, but they went down so easily that their durability was (over)buffed, and then nerfed down to where it is now.
Landing a short burst with a rifle-caliber machine gun from the ground used to down a plane from loss of control in CBT.
No exaggeration as I’ve done it with the Stuart, and I’ve flown enough to lose control from 1 yellow flap
I unloaded into many alied type fighters and they trun and fly as if noting happend even the bomber. My FW or 109 loses power or goes down easy. And the ground trops killing pilots at over 600 or more yards away is crazy it was removed befor why readd that.
It can still be done; I got shot down in a P-38 tonight by a dude manning an MG42. And that’s fine, really. I’d prefer planes (and tanks) actually work a little more realistically. It shouldn’t take an entire belt of 50 caliber ammunition to down any aircraft in this game, but it often does.
so explain why axis plans go down relativly easy compaird to alis? And after unloading every thing we got into one plan. If this was real listive id kill every plan that came up. Only Realistick game ive ever played to a extent was IL2.
