Please tone done the M2 Carbine's ammo count

If you haven’t known already, the M2 carbine received an unmentioned stealth-buff that reduced its recoil, and increased its ammo capacity from 90 to 120, or 180 to 240, when using large ammo pouches.

The M2 carbine is, essentially, an MP43/1 available to up to 9 soldiers in a single squad.

You don’t need ammo pouches to spray, nor do you no longer need the recoil perks as a prerequisite to use the sights. Compared to before, they’re actually usable at mid-range engagements now, and still very much deadly in the hands of bots.

Frankly, I like this change since the M2 carbine was basically just a roided-up SMG you can’t use at range before the stealth change, however, the ammo count being arbitrarily increased for being such a powerful weapon is… A bit over the top.

In the end, it’s a 120 round assault rifle that has to fight a bunch of bolties/semis with only 30 rounds on average, and FGs with only 40 without pouches. So long as you prefire or spray first, you’re guaranteed to win every engagement in CQC. Especially considering how fast it fires.

i’m not certain why it’s given 90 in reserve since both it and FG already had more ammo than all other “semi autos” with all other’s having no more than 32 in reserve, not even m1c has that ammo count. but i guess the devs truly do think the m2 is an smg which is it anyways

m2 carabine is a shit past 20m and even full upgraded the mp43/I (base) is 10 times better than here

From April the m2 had 30+90 ammo.

But yes now the m2 is usable so this would be a fair nerf

The standardization of SMG ammo likely affected the M2C and ended up giving it extra ammo.

Which is funny since it’s technically available to people outside the assaulter class, so now we have 9-man assault rifle squads that are no longer blinded by unusable sights.

Yeah but they work only in cqc, the m2 is better than before but still don’t do shit past 15/20 meters if you don’t prone.

But Nerf M2 ammo count, don’t think i got up to M2 yet, but yeah lets nerf everything, before i get use to it, then its nerfed.

I thought I was crazy when the rifle boi on the same squad as my smg boi was doing better with the M2 carabine than the latter with the M2A1 carabine (I’m using secondary for shotguns on smg boys so didn’t even notice the ammo count).

M2a1 have reduced rof for major accuracy
