Please remove the HE belts

Please remove the 20mm HE belts off tanks like the PzII, T-60, and AB-41. They add no actual capability and generally just remove your ability to fight since it takes away half the AP load you used to carry. Nor does it have any form of splash damage to hurt infantry more than AP to the chest otherwise would.

Its in the same state as reserve tier HE rounds in WT which were later removed because of how useless they were.

HE does in fact have splash damage

Although its only useful on pz2 as that can actually switch ammo types

Only tanks I bring HE on are the T30 and KV-2

im not sure and dont have anyone to test, but i distinctly remeber getting killed by a pz2 while in a trench

I’ve put 20mm HE from the T-60’s ShVAK into walls next to heads and gotten nothing until I just shot the dude

the HE belts are not useless just extremely bad, if you shoot on the ground at 1M max 1.5M to the enemy it will kill him.

but i prefer having more AP

We just need to be able to change our load outs but instead the game makes tanks with different ammo a different vehicle :roll_eyes:

Though I believe HE will kill the guy standing next to the guy you directly shoot, more AP would be better as the PZ II needs more AP ammo to fight T-60s

Same goes for the T-60

The HE rounds definetly have splash damage, and even without it, it counting as an explosion for screenshake matters. Its not realistically going to hit more than one solider , unless they are basically on top of each other, but it gives you a slightly larger margin of error on misses that strike the ground or a wall close to your target, and you may occasionally wound someone with it who’s a bit further off.

The most useful thing would be letting the player choose the armament shells percentage between diffferent kinds on his own.

Obviously the number of shells carried MUST stay fixed aka the max number, unlike WT or we will have tanks with 20 rounds in order to have less weak spots camping near the resupply point.
