Over the years, I have seen a trend of adding new content, and every time it gets more and more effective, so the old ones is less productive - especially Tompson for a 30 rounds at BR 4. As we know - it plays a lot with a 5 BR. So there equip an 30 rounds Tompsons - the way close to autofailure. Why? Look at chinese premium boys with almost the same Tompson for a 30 rounds at BR II.
So please - give this legendary firearm a second live - bring all the 30 round Tompsonas at III BR (some at II as an option)

Could be… I dont find it effective couse just the 5 soliders.
All event/premium assaulter squads that have 5 soldier in set up of: 3 assaulter, 1 engineer and 1 AT gunner are like that. When it came out it was at an advantage compared to other assaulter squads that had 5 soldiers but only 4 assaulters and 1 engineer but now those can be increased with one AT gunner.
devs could probably add a 6th member but than the squad would have 6 SMG which would once again be an unfair advantage, pick your poison really.

It will be a custom AT and gun, not a squad weapon
The M21/28 Thompson should be br3 but the m1 may need to stay br4 due to it’s higher rpm.

Not a single Thompson 30 belongs to BR2. Stop with their powercreep nonsense.

Ok but some of them definetly shoud be replaced for IV to III
Now compare it to german BR2 assaulter squad. 4 much crappier smgs and 3 crappy soldiers with all right vg2. I would rather take 5 good smgs than more than half of squad being a burden to me.
M21/28 Thompson and M1 Thompson belong in BR4, they are obviously better than ZK-383, MP35/I, SIG 1920.
Stick mag ppsh41, Type 100 late and Beretta 38 (40 rounds) are up to debate.
I just played a match with them to see how they live up to BR4 and I must say that they are worthy for BR4, the real problem is getting uptiered against BR5 which has significantly better guns.
If we move these weapons down, we will only repeat the powercreeping cycle, making it once again worse for BR2 players.

Giving M28/28 BR III is not that bad - it still very close to Beretta 38 (40), ppsh41, and also I shoud say about this guy

you are comparing tech tree weapons to event weapons, those always get a little more “love”.
Otherwise I would like to remind you to one major difference: reload time.
These Thompsons reload crazy fast making them insanely potent in CQC, yes its true that they can struggle in range due to low muzzle velocity and I got dunked by assault rifles and SF rifles in the last match, but I absolutely smashed everyone else in close range.

30.cal Thompson has 20 round mag only, its a pseudo assault rifle with a downside, which is why its BR3.

BR III .30 is still have a slightly better reload time.
Regarding trees and events, both of these weapons exist in the game right now, so I think it’s worth comparing them. Got 4 of 0.30 - its a full squad. Indeed, it has only 20 rounds, but it has almost all the other characteristics better than the M28.
how about you ask for buffs so these weapons are satisfactory at BR4 as opposed to powercreeping the lower BR ranks more

I dont see a way to do it for now. Besides - this weapons almost forgotten right now - it will be great - bring them new life. At least M28
I have 5 30.cal Thompson, they are deadly for sure.

Anyway, you are making a very good argument with this.
But when compared to ZK-383 and stick mag Ppsh41 or any BR2 SMG except M1A1 Thompson and MAS-38 (this was supposed to BR3, but players demanded it moved to BR2 so here we are), the reload time does put the M21/28 in a decent advantage.
However I shouldn´ t overlook Király 39M and PPD-40 getting moved to BR4, both of which are better than M21/28 and M1 Thompson.
Tokyo Arsenal has always been a better weapons and its just a matter of time before Ppsh41 and M1928A1 (50) is moved down too, once that happens there will be no point to keep M21/28 and M1 BR4, but they will still be strong for BR3.
Taking everything into consideration I believe that the most fair solution would be to:
move M1 Thompson to BR3, but nerf its reload time.
replace the magazine of the M21/28 with that of a 50 round drum and adjust its reload time (naturally).
