Please modify the badge and name of Werewolf team

I’m sorry to bother you guys, I had a great interest in the STG44(s) squad
, so much so that I pre ordered it from the beginning, but I discovered a fatal mistake while researching.

Werewolf was a terrorist organization composed of a group of teenage Nazi fanatics in the final moments of the war. They did not have decent weapons or uniform, let alone elite equipment like STG44 (s).

Therefore, I hope the developers can modify the badge and introduction text of this squad. Werewolf is not suitable as the title for this team no matter what, and a unit specialized in special operations missions like “Brandenburg” would be more suitable. But given the camouflage uniforms they are wearing, they can also be modified as special operations units of the Waffen SS.

Agreed at all! Because this is a WWII game!

I would also recommend comparing the silencer mounting system in the game and the same one on the Forgotten Weapons channel (LS 26 is the name of the silencer).

And where is the problem here?

Already ingame, so idk if devs want to repeat that.

It may be too late, there has never been a precedent for changing squad names and badges before, but this is still a serious mistake. Developers seem to have misunderstood these disorganized groups lurking behind enemy lines and waiting to create chaos as special operations forces of the regular army…

Yeah?

So what terrorist attacks have they carried out?

The Werwolf was a kind of SS-subordinate partisan unit. It was somewhat similar to the Volkssturm, but the Werwolf specialized in partisan war.

Regarding replacing this unit with Brandenburg, I completely agree.

My problem is just that they are equipped with superior gear that they would have never been given. They should be equipped poorly like some Volkssturm.

We already have the Waffen SS in game, so if you have a problem with war criminals (I will refrain from using the T word since it may be considered too political) being added to the game then well…idk what to tell you. They have been in the game forever.

Anway yeah, they should be replaced with a different unit. They could add werewolves back later as some shitty rag tag unit.

I think the major one that came to mind was the murder of the mayor of Hamburg, however they did commit some other less notable terror attacks. I also believe the organisation would be active for a while after the war and certainly would inspire or be the basis for a lot of the later nazi or neo nazi groups in Germany.

All resistance groups were.

Polish, French, “Yugoslavian”, Russian, Italian ect. terrorists, today called “resistance fighters” because these nations somehow take national pride in common criminals.
Less than 1% of their victims were soldiers because they were not trained or equipped to fight them so instead they targeted police/gendarmerie or innocent civilians on ethnic, religious, cultural, political basis.

Im not sure the mp 40 squad was part of the Brandenburgers , though I have not checked any source to make sure anyhow Brandenburg was a whole battalion with many units , so the could add multiple units from it to the game

And the othere resistance fighter never executed/assasinated colaborators or what?

All werewolve activity was ordered to cease during the end of the war which mean only a handfull of them would remain active post war.
And even then germany post war wasnt exactly the most stable country so one more band of outlaws roaming the countyside was not exactly something too uncommen.

I really do disrespect people who are pushing for censorship purely based on double standard morals.

Anyway, what I mean is that using this name for the STG44(s) squad in the game is extremely inappropriate. They cannot obtain such advanced weapons, and they should be special operations units in the regular army.

I think you have a very valid point with their weapons and the squad background but as you describe them “teenage nazi fanatics” quite frankly only makes me more interested in getting them.

Im a sucker for these squads i have no shame in admitting… 6th army and 12th SS are two of the most notable ones in that department and this would be a fine addition to that lineup.

Would go quite well with the 12th if how you describe them is true actually.
