Ok, I think this is easy to implement and it will save tons of frustration. Because nothing is more frustrating than joining a game at the moment the first capturepoint is already taken. Especially on maps where the first capture point basically decides if you win or lose the battle.
It’s even more frustrating if one of your tasks is to end up first of your team and at the moment you join somebody already has 1500 points. Even if you are on the attacking side, it just doesn’t feel right to just walk into the first capturepoint without any resistance. I’ve moved Enlisted to my (very small) SSD and that gives me a huge tactical advantage on some maps over those that don’t have a SSD.
All in all, I’d happily wait 1 or 2 minutes at the start of a round if this means teams and chances are fair.
At this point making matchmaking longer would make more sense.
But it propably won’t happen as modern games have short wait time by design, because people now have shorter attention span.
I’ve played thousands of games, but handfull of them i was thrown into started match with 1 point lost that i could manage to win in the end. In some cases i felt my team didn’t deserve victory anyway for camping and not contributing to winning.
So it’s annoying but You can easly just desert that games, maybe when problem gets worse they will fix it.
Why not just add capture point timeout like in confrontation, so people who load faster can still play, but won’t cap untill all defenders are loaded into the game. Maybe even shovels would get more use with defenders having more time to reinfroce points.

I don’t want to be a deserter
but I get what you are saying. And I’m very much a proponent of capture point timeout. There’s a lot of strategy that could be used, but is useless because of the fast pace of the game.
