Makes no sense that “officers” as i see radiomen squads as, cant be able to use smgs for protection if so is needed. Its an late upgrade in the squad to and having two rifles almost of the same kind makes no sense even if i know that theres a workaround having more ammo on ya with it even if they are using basically same ammo ^^
Id rather just have an option for more ammo. I find the two weapon system pretty weak for just about every class
They work on some somehow but yeah its not that great in a way.
In some situations i rather have an Kar to sharp shoot with at longer ranges even if you can do it pretty accurately with an G96. Kar has more stopping power at longer ranges in my experience even if you can headshot them with the G
Seen some packing both shotguns and smgs i think in assault teams so there its effective in different scenarios
I find stupid use them for upgrade a weapon like the carcano-m38 or the garand
I carried shotguns as a secondary until they nerfed them to dust. Now just doubling my SMG ammo is far better
yeah ive stolen an shotgun from the Sovjets couple of times and can understand why you do. Its not that bad but bit blend for sure in a way
Either a rifle OR a SMG. Not both.
The whole two primary weapon thing is already too much IMO and wreaks of COD and all other “gimme gimme gimme” shooters on the market.
I like the bare bones hardcore feel of Enlisted and having players running around with rifle and SMG gear on any one troop ruins the game.
This is only ment for Radiomen squads which usual playstyle is to support. But sure it happens some times you go in with them to help out but they are better of supporting so to speak. Last thing i want is to get ma radiomen killed if you catch my drift but i get what you mean. People will perhaps utalize this as an assault sq more effectively since they do have rly good speed and good vitality but that can be fixed
definitely agree 100% that specialised roles should have the lighter weapons available to them, perhaps on the Axis side they could add the C-96 with holster stock as a primary option with a high cyclitic rate (but still semi-auto) to balance it a little against the m1 carbine’s higher damage, maybe also give it a lot of ammo since it’s just 10 round clips rather than magazines), stuff like that could be introduced on both sides as a “captured” or private purchase weapon such as from what I understand some tankers would utilise, the lighter weapons in this class could be made available to all classes that carry secondary equipment (mortars, radio, AT, Tankers, flamers, Pilots, probably Engineers too) plus Assaulters (so basically all but riflemen) rather than making the sub-machineguns and such class specific, maybe make the advantage of assaulters that they carry extra magazines for those lighter weapons when equipped with them, riflemen alternatively perhaps having a bonus to how much conventional rifle ammo they can carry compared to other classes, maybe even add a medic unit that by default carries 2 medkit slots upgraded with backpacks on top and will automatically medic friendly troops around them that are downed (but not those that are just injured unless I dunno a button is pressed flagging you as needing a medic, or use a flag button to get medics to you even when downed rather than the AI automatically rushing into the firing line), these medics could also be like other equipment carrying classes but are limited to carrying a single primary weapon permanently as the drawback to the utility of having medics that will treat other player’s squads as well as your own.
I think the 2 primary weapons system exists just to make equipment like the AT, mortar and flamer easier to set up in loadouts without a purpose made slot, I agree that it could be good to make it so you can put ammo/grenade pouches in that slot as well as the backpack slot, or even make the second primary weapon be classed as a backpack slot and the current backpack slot be for pouches, allowing you to have a backpack OR a second rifle/equipment then ammo/grenade pouches on the belt slot.
