I’m not going to make this long, but less than 10% of the original value of anything in a game that encourages you to progress the ranks as you unlock newer equipment isn’t sustainable for newer players.
The game is unironically overadjusting for players who have been here since the start of OBT which has resulted in the immense devaluation of items such as knives and grenades. If the aim is to add to the playerbase by releasing this game in Steam, the first step is to make the grind bearable.
What I find odd is, they made the selling price of soldiers roughly 85-90% of their value, but weapons, and especially vehicle upgrades are barely worth anything at all.

Do something about that? This is how it works. The “Grind” is set up in a way that without spending any money at all, you will need hundreds of hours to get far. A bit money here and there can cut that down. Either by being P2W with OP paid units, or as WT and Enlisted do, give you units with busted rewards (2x XP, increased RP/SL gain). A continuous stream of money will also help cut it down via the Premium Time that both games employ, effectively halving the entire grind as well as giving you bonus benefits (more squad slots, map ban)
This is the system. It’s not supposed to be easy. It’s meant to be frustrating and extremely time consuming. Sure, you can do the whole dang thing without ever spending a dime. I got a friend who’s done that in WT. Crazy woman. It’ll take years though. It gives you every reason possible to buy things. Including threatening you with removing Preemie Squads forever after a certain date. Why do you think I bought the UD M42 and Colt Monitor Squads? They were about to disappear (and I always wanted the Colt Monitor Squad it was just too expensive for me to justify burning the money)
The F2P game is built to milk you dry. Granted Enlisted is a MUCH more fun game than WT. I ENJOY playing Enlisted. I play WT because there’s literally no other game like it anywhere. WT is frustrating and I hate so much about it, but I’m a slave to the snail now. The Russian Bias is real, and compared to all German and Russian tanks all American tanks are overtiered. Meanwhile Enlisted, bullet hits man, bullet kills man. No aiming for 2 pixel big weakspots, no bullcrap sniping across the map magically hitting that one spot, you don’t need a certain shell in a certain cannon hitting a certain spot. You just aim, fire, kill, repeat
So, all things considered, what exactly is there to fix? The game, progression wise, is EXACTLY how Gaijin wants it to be in order to make money and DF has made it perfectly that way. Even going as far as to allow you to buy ES with EG

I’m telling you. There won’t be a positive change. Not in the capacity you’re hoping for. This is RuneScape type of monetization. You know how many things the RuneScape devs have done to help their players? I know of 1, SINGULAR thing they did to help people
Then shut the hell up and move on.

I’m earnestly making these suggestions for everyone’s benefit. Yours too.
The last thing I need to hear is some Helper or a dev saying “mememe, you guys didn’t say anything about the economy, so your suggestion isn’t forwarded or even considered at all”.
The devs do make changes, but in the most asininely bureacratic way. If you want to contribute, like the forum thread so that this can be quantified properly.

What happened with War Thunder economy, but that’s only war thunder and how it’s made (Prices for repairs and all that) But enlisted won’t have that otherwise they would KILL the playerbase overall
In Enlisted, it’s germany bias because theirs tanks are super OP rn
