Please get rid of the shotgun nerf

It wasnt necessary, the shotguns already only had limited ammo to work with and a slow reload, they needed the high damage to be viable

Was damage on them nerfed? They are already at a low point on Moscow as only assaults can use them.

Damage per buckshot was nerfed drastically as was buckshot count.

Even though nobody used the TOZ-B to begin with because the PPD is so much better

Yea, the PPD 34/38 decimates everything while the TOZ-B can kill 2 enemies slightly easier than a normal rifle before running out of ammo.

I mean, it still says that the TOZ-B deals 345 damage, so maybe its not so bad, but it was in the two-thousands before

I actually don’t understand why Shotguns are always nerfed in games since countering them is quite simple:

Keep your distance

…that’s it, just as you don’t fight a sniper over a distance with a pistol, you do not engage a shotgun player by placing your head in front of his barrel.

The way shotguns worked in Enlisted (at least Toz-B) was that they could actually kill things at normal combat ranges - you didn’t have the ammo capacity of a drum mag PPD but you could more or less kill a target at same range the smg could if you used both shots (not counting weird 10 second shootouts of using the smg as a very weak single shot rifle at long range).

With the nearly halved damage per pellet and actually halved pellet count, their effective range has been drastically reduced and I’ll definitely be removing the one Toz I had in my squads and using a PPD instead - which won’t honestly be any easier for enemy to deal with than the shotguns were by “just keeping the distance”. I foresee the Toz will now consistently fail to kill an enemy peeking from around the corner of the building next to the one you’re defending, while the SMGs will still kill them like before.

Barely anyone seemed to be using shotguns in Moscow so it’s a shame to see them nerfed when the only comments I was hearing was that this was “finally a first person shooter that does shotguns right”, though there were some who seemed to be having issues aiming them with the care required by the narrow spread (based on their complaints of being unable to oneshot someone at 10 meters range) - this change can’t have been brought on by those players since it will hurt them even more.

Maybe bots where using them “too good”?
I don’t think I’ve seen any sort of complains about Toz on the forums. So nerf could be based off the stats that devs see.

Their overall damage per shot was reduced by 75% (50% less pellets, which also deal 50% less damage)

The ONLY issue with shotguns we ever had was giving 25% of first stage Berlin soldiers on the German side (aka all engineers) a M30, instead of just the assaulters, giving Germany many more CQC combat options at the time.

Funny i didnt saw a single post wanting a shotgun nerf and they nerfed it while half of forum cryes about artyllery and bomber planes, and they leave them be
