The Sight should be like this in Heroes and Generals. Atm on downsight its near unuseable and should be buffed. also i think the recoil is too high.
please make it near or same as Heroes and Genreals
I like using these bad boys but on range i feel so useless. its only good up close just hip firing

M2 is currently trash tier. I have a small bin of them in my reserve right next to spare flamethrowers and mortars. The M1918A2 did just receive it’s slow fire mode which is a very nice buff so I have hope the M2 will receive something but even without it the Thompson, Garands and BARs make up for it
It does need a buff imo, especially the Sight, downsight aiming is near impossible. For the AI its actually okay, i’ve seen them killing troops with it, but when u uses it urself its not so good
I find no reason to pick it over a Garand. Sure it might be ok in a door way but outside of that it’s pretty pathetic at everything. Thompson beats it in every area

Am i the only one liking the m2? i just unlocked it and it’s great at close ranges, it kills so quickly way better than the m1 carabine, it’s not meant to be a primary weapon that’s for sure, just use it in close ranges and stick to the garand for everything else.

The garand is better in close though, since it’s a oneshot down compared to the m2 needing 2. The m2 is complete trash tier.

The sight alignment is faulty right now, has to be fixed ASAP. It could also use a bit of a muzzle rise/vertical recoil reduction, since it basically fires an intermediate cartridge, heck almost a pistol round. It wouldn’t be superior to the garand, since there’s an evident damage reduction in medium to longer ranges, it’s effective range (and when the bullet drop is significant) is basically less than 200 yards anyways. It takes up to 4-5 body shots sometimes at distance to completely kill an enemy. The sight fix, and a bit of muzzle rise reduction would be enough, and it would make things better against the FG-42 in later campaign levels.
Weirdly enough though, I’m wondering why did they not counter the FG-42 with the M1941 Johnson machine gun instead…

I like it too, the extras in the assault squads have it. Great assault rifle in a pinch.
Horrible for mid to long range though
In a game where there are guns that fire just as fast and are one shot with much lower recoil, comparatively it’s over twice as bad via many of its metrics (recoil, damage mostly), so yes, it’s complete trash.
Compare it to an FG42 and cry.
Sure the fg 42 it’s superior, nothing new there, but they are not filling the same role, if u want to rush a building the m2 it’s way better than the m1 and that’s enough for me, i’ll spare the garand’s rounds for an enemy at a greater distance.
The fg-42 is literally the axis counterpart to the m2, so they are filling the exact same role. If you want to kill things up close you’re better with a garand, or two garands if you really want to run two weapons instead of more nades like a sane person 
I uses it for Close Range, but on mid and long its really bad. The sight is the problem, I had the FG42 too on Axis its much better for Long. the Sight imo is too much and should be lowered for M2 Carbine, you cant really see while downaiming

U managed to miss the point completely, i even said it multiple times, the m2 is not the primary weapon, the fg 42 is and it’s broken, they don’t fill the same role that’s why comparing the 2 it’s quite dumb
m2 is a primary weapon unless you’re taking the double weapon perk, which means youre missing out on 2 extra grenades for that m2… i wouldn’t take that trade :p.
