In-game, the .45’s velocity is currently 265 (which matches real-world 1911 pistol stats), but the Thompson SMG should fire .45 at 285 (its historical speed). Just two small tweaks would make the .45 great again
Kinda doubt a ±20 in velocity makes that much of difference, lol.
does another 20 meters per second really matter at all
Whilst the difference of ±20rpm might not be much, I assume it’d be a very simple and easy adjustment, so why not I say!
Edit: Meant to speak in terms of muzzle velocity, not rate of fire. I misspoke, but my thoughts remain the same.
its not rate of fire, its muzzle velocity, they want the bullet to travel faster by an imperceptible amount
im of the opinion the developers should be fixing bugs or doing something more productive with their time than doing stat adjustments nobody is ever going to notice
Apologies misspoke, I did intent to speak of muzzle velocity but said rate of fire instead, been tired today lmao. But either way much the same in my stance I remain. If it’s less than 20 min of work I don’t see the harm, QoL big or very small is nice.
Yes, that’s 7.5% buff
are you really trying to snipe people with the m1 thompson where every bit of bullet velocity matters? If you’re not using it to clear buildings (where bullet velocity is not relevant) then you’re using the thompson wrong
I don’t care if the velocity is a big deal or not, I just want the stats to be realistic, if it’s correct then it’s correct and thus should be in the game. It’s not like it’s a difficult thing to tweek, all the naysayers should just shut up if it doesn’t matter.
muzzle velocity not only depends on the round, but the weapon itself.
According to wikipedia, the current stats are correct.
nah, it says 285m/s
Cmon… pistol wont have same barrel length as Thompson SMG
