I have to brag about this because I played 3 video games where stats were available and have to say that they bring nothing but toxicity
1. good thing about stat cards
bad players can’t behave like kings
2. bad thing’s about stat cards
New players will constantly get rejected from player parties thus will not learn from more experienced players
Low K/D ratio doesn’t mean that the player is bad. A player can have low K/D because he plays more aggressively and dies more often than a camper
A camper can have high K/D because he sits on one position throughout the whole battle and only get 10 kills making his K/D as high as 10.0
Low Win-Rate is entirely based on team and not individual. I played World of Tanks back in 2016 and all players were constantly looking at each others win rate… made me sick and I quit playing
A player gets harassed by better players (in chat, on forums… etc)
A player can have less kills per battle because he plays attackers more than he plays defenders (USA for example). It’s always easier to get kills by playing defenders
Farming kills by using the defending team (Germany in Normandy, USSR in Moscow)
Seconded, especially with KD and winrate. We don’t need players hiding in their spawn all game trying to pad their KDR, or quitting battles and following the meta team to pad their winrate.
I do think matchup charts might be nice.
Like seeing whether you die more to assaulters, or to snipers.
But nothing public, just for yourself to see and draw conclusions from, so you can modify your squads to better handle the things you die the most from.
But I do agree K/D stuff should never be made public. I wouldn’t mind them in addition to the matchup charts for you to see personally, but nobody else should see those. Again, you can learn from your own statistics.
It’ll make it real easy to tell if someones opinion is worth listening to or to just disregard them because they’re too trash to know what they’re talking about.
For instance: A noob with a KD of 0.5 has an irrelevant opinion by default when it comes to talking about balance. Never balance a game around the braindead.
But if this ever gets added we need to remove bots from Lone wolf to avoid stat padding. Players only.
In every game I’ve played, it’s always been the same. People that are god awful at the game with complete trash performance always had the loudest opinions when it came to balancing a game, and they were always really bad and dumb ideas.
Public stats in a PvP makes it easy to check and see if the person is actually skilled enough to know what he’s talking about, or to just disregard that person from the discussion because he’s about as skilled as a brick.
How is he a stat padder? Yeah he likes to spend money, that’s fine. Yeah his ideas always involve a psw aspect but he always seems open to discussion. As for the hate-magnet thing, really? If you think someone is trolling just don’t respond, easy as that. You don’t mad and the troll doesn’t get attention.
In a game like this, KDR says nothing. They could be solely dedicated to capping points in invasion and have a trash KDR because of it. Or get massive amounts of assists.
Not if you point out the core flaws of his idea. Only if you agree with him but say it needs adjusting. He just keeps ignoring my posts then complains about me flagging his after he repeated his thoughts 10 times without any regards to the responses.
Yup. That’s why those stats are best left privately.
Let’s display average KDR of all weapons, as well as winrates.
That way, you don’t have to check whether a guy’s opinion is irrelevant based on his KDR or whatever as you can just refer them to the KDR of a weapon and say it deserves a win or nerf.
