If this actually comes true, then i’m sure this will be abused even when people fight hard for the victory they work their asses off to earn. and then have the enemy team send another group of players join in toward the end? Im sure this wont kill the game in a heartbeat. Id rather have joining mid game stay as a custom game mechanic only.
Yep. Several of the things on this roadmap are clearly thought up by people who don’t actually play the game. So so many bad choices on it.
u guys are thinking on the worst case scenario and while is understandable u guys also need to see other possible scenarios just incase it isnt bad, like allowing to invite ppl that got force dc/crash during match or allowing to invite ppl to join starting matches that are empty tho in tha scenario is it concern that it can be use to do stack of +4 to be fair
All we can do is this time is wait for the Q&A, for all we know it could be well thought out. Knowing DF And their past record though it’s not.
If this is implemented incorrectly it’ll be severely damaging to the game as would 80% of what is on that road map. All we can do is wait and see what plays out.
Mate you are overreacting. What difference does it make when compared to the playing against stack from the beginning? No difference.
I’m fairly sure that when this gets the green light to launch, if it really does cause an issue dark flow will quickly fix it. Every time they’ve made a bad decision in the past they’ve always gone back to the drawing board as soon as possible, sometimes that fix takes a little time to release. But they were also listening to community feedback, it was in fact the community that forced them to do this Q&A. They saw enough unrest after Keo left, and a opportunity to improve. Others may not have faith, but I trust Major McDonald. Long before he got hired by dark Flow he used to be a YouTuber trying to help the enlisted community, so I’d honestly trust him and James to think things through more than anyone else in DF.
That’s what we are for, I think that if it were implemented, there would be a limit of people who can be invited
More likely is just the ability to form a player group even if one of them is already in battle, is not an option for call other 9 player in the same battle
I don’t understand how this feature would contribute to a better gaming experience at all. Stacks are already an incredibly unfair and unbalanced issue.
It seems to me that DF just wants to outright ruin the gaming experience for solo players.
4 people form a team, each person summons 1, convenient and fast, legally dominate. Domination is not enough? Then the 4 summoned people summon 4 more.
This idea may only have a little benefit, but can DF perfectly plug every loophole?
I don’t think they will. Even after the real launch, they will indulge players to exploit loopholes for a long time, and then punish players who exploit loopholes after a few months, and even guide players to geographical discrimination
Just like the bug incidents that have occurred in the past 3 years.
Bugs that were anticipated before the actual feature was released were never fixed before release.
Custom rooms, ammo boxes, medical boxes, barbed wire, fully covered machine gun bunkers, players who randomly abandon the game, players who deliberately fight passively, weak AI pathfinding, novice rooms, Dutch soldiers, vehicle repairs, deliberately climbing over BR walls, soft rules for room matching.
Some of these incidents are still there. Most of them were warned by players before release, but no one paid attention. Even some incidents were reported in the feedback system for a long time after they occurred, and no one paid attention until they were widely spread and exploited, and then only blamed the players and refused to conduct self-examination (blaming the players is right, But is it right to guide and indulge players to hold discriminatory views and refuse to reflect on themselves?).
As you described.
a call b, b call c, c call d, d call e
This method is easy to spread. Have you really thought about it?
or
Even if one player is forced to summon only one other person,
what about the 4-player team? 4+4=8!
In other games, it is equal to illegal matching.
Then in the matching, what about 2 teams matched to the same battlefield and the same camp?
4+4(team A)+4+4(team B)+?
Kick out all strangers, 12 familiar players, and crush 10 opponents?
If there are restrictions on the matching of 4-player teams in the future,
For example, you must meet another 4-player team.
Then it is easy to break the restrictions and rules by using this rule.
Continue to expand the division and contradictions of the player group.
Repeat: This idea contains some valuable content.
But it has loopholes like a shower head.
And DF is not capable of filling all the loopholes.
